Thank you so much!
You are amazing!!
You're the best!
So cute. I’ve learned to use watercolor pencils instead of regular pencils for the sketch. That way the watercolor pencil disappears. Very lovely🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁
That's a great idea!

Can't wait!
This is great! My eldest bought a house and moves in at the end of this month. Defenitly a card for this occasion. ❤️
That’s a perfect reason!
I learnt in Art to use a Putty Rubber to rub out pencil marks, also to sketch without putting too much pressure on the pencil depends on where you hold the pencil, so hold it lightly at the top end of the pencil so not using too much pressure.
Yes spot on
Lovely painting and a good idea for cards and love the finished detail with the shadows. Thank you for sharing this with us Harriet xx
Cheers Amanda!

Brilliant, a beautiful painting. You are so confident with your brush strokes. I hope I eventually get as confident but have a long way to go yet.
It’s all about enjoying painting and trying to do it as much as possible
@@deWintonPaperCo Thank you Harriet. I was amazed to get a response to my post. Thank you, it means a lot.

Thanks for a great tutorial
You are welcome!
I love this! Such beautiful work, and you make it seem easy. I'm feeling inspired. Thanks so much for the tutorial. 🍁🍂
You are so welcome!
Oh my I love this. I am realizing I stop way to soon. I would have added color to the door and pumpkins and leaves.. thought that looks good (scared to add shadow on top of pumpkin or branches on wreath lol) But then you added layer after layer of the little details which really make this pop and added depth. Love it!!
Yes it’s all about starting pale and then building up the layers
Lovely as usual! This could be adapted for a Christmas/winter scene. Would love a tutorial on that 😊❤
Oh Jane I think you've hit the nail on the head! We'll have to do that!
Soo lovely💗
Thank you so much
Just curious on why you don't erase your lines? This is a gorgeous painting..I love all your paintings.
I don’t always get round to doing it on camera
This is so beautiful! I am a newbie and I think I might not be aware of a way to “rub out the pencil lines” after you’re done with a painting!? I try to do this with a regular eraser but any pencil that has paint over the top of it doesn’t erase away. Help!
You could try using watercolor pencils to do your initial drawing.
I have a useful video all about rubbing out pencil in my watercolour painting for beginners playlist
Beautiful! Thank you. What eraser do you use for the pencil lines? I haven’t had success with removing lines after painting.
I use a kneadable eraser by Fabre castell
With all fairness in mind, some of us can't afford patreon fees, however, here's an idea: You can do a raffle with RUclips contributors, (who also support your channel)- by selecting TWO requests in November for TWO simple requests. (With a set deadline.)
The selection is up to you, but we are also allowed to participate. What do you think? #dewinstonpaperco
Thanks for your suggestion 😊
Hi Harriet-
Great tutorial as well, I want to get a rigger brush which size are you using? Thanks.
I’m using size 0. I sell the one I use in my shop
Wonderful as always! I have to ask how you manage to rub out the pencil marks after you've painted over them. I am never successful when I try.
It’s a case of drawing lightly first and rubbing it down to the faint line. That makes it much easier at the end
Question: Do you predetermine which colors you will use?
I have a rough plan of a colour palette before I start
You maybe mentioned and I missed it but why didn’t you erase the pencil marks behind the pumpkins and lanterns? Just curious.
Sometimes I don’t remember to do everything when filming
@@deWintonPaperCo understandable! 😉
I watch all your videos and some two or three times. What sizes paper do usually use most of the time for your paintings? I ordered both your books and your 3 brush set. Is there a link or website where I can find out about your Patreon subscription? I’m in the US.
Hi Sharon thank you so much! I nearly always use a piece of paper 6x8 inches. You can find a link to my patreon in the episode notes below the video
What brushes are you using. What size?
Check the description
Nice video but get rid of that irritating background music. It’s very distracting.
Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
