Thanks for the video! I see old throw up spots from my dog and previous pee spots from the previous homeowners' dog. I've 'had the carpets cleaned but I can still see those spots under the UV and it was freaking me out. I even though some of it might be mold oriented from too much carpet cleaning and not enough sucking up the water. I also have a steam mop and it did wonders in the bathroom (OMG you don't EVEN want to know!) I might try it on the carpet spots as a last ditch effort in case it's not all just carpet fiber changes. Will update this if it works.
Great video ladies. I'm with Vicki on the nose that can smell anything. My family has always said that you can't get by with anything around Mom's nose!

I was just searching for a way to find cat spray and found this video. I always thought the yellow glasses were just a contrast thing to help you find the uv reactive things easier or working in dark areas like a mechanic (had a uv flashlight already for fixing my cars AC leak and it worked great).
Anyway great video, that hoover carpet cleaner looks awesome too. I might have to get one.
Thank you for this. I did the same thing with the light while potty training a foster dog and I just couldn't get the stains up. Thanks for the info about the color loss in the carpet.

Thanks so much for sharing this. I didn't know it existed and I'm pretty sure my son and daughter in love doesn't know either. They just ripped out carpet because of this and put in hardwood floors. They adopted a kitten with special issues. Thanks ladies!! If I'm slow in responding I am laid up with a broken foot and migraine issues!

You should have used the special uv pet cleaner that is guaranteed to remove urine. You add it to the cleaner machine.
So, just steam clean everything routinely. I've put enzymatic cleaner in the steam cleaner.
What product works better?
One problem i've had with using a UV light is once I find the stain I can't get it up. Have you had any success getting up the stains the your UV light has exposed?
you can never get the UV to not see it but you can clean it.
Will this show fresh stains?
