This dude is the “Carb-Father”. He’s thorough and quality of work is evident. Nice!
I have see alot of Carbie rebuild videos on YT but I have to say your video resolution, and comprehensive information is the best by far.
I cant understand why you dont have tons more subs.
Spread the good word and maybe I'll acquire more followers! :)
And yes, most carb videos out there are dudes that don't understand the in's and out's and the 'why'.
Bro, this info is gems maaan!! This is the stuff that you pay for and you’re just giving it away…💪🏼 💎💎🙏🏻❤️
Excellent information and delivery!! Top notch 👌
Thanks for watching!
Great video. Im also a small channel that plays around with jet-skis etc. Love watching these types of video's to help get through the winter. I subbed, dude!
Sweet video, extremely well spoken, what size JIS screwdriver for the seat retaining screw no 1 or 2?
So do the higher g springs mean it requires more pop off pressure so 80g will be more pressure than 65g?
@@idabright503 the higher the spring force, the more manifold pressure is needed to suck the diaphragm down onto the needle lever arm.
When I try to test pop off my carb won't hold any pressure at all for it to even pop off. What would cause this?
Хорошее видео! Какой цвет свечей зажигания , при правильной настройке карбюратора?
The insulator should be a mocha brown color
I’m doing my pop off test seems like mine is leaking from low speed adjuster screw? Any help with this
@@charleskovach4450 the metering circuit is separate from the fuel delivery system ( controlled by the needle seat valve).
I have a 97 Kawasaki sts 750 and I just rebuilt the carbs it seems to be pulling fuel from the front carb but not the back one I’ve only ran it out of the water hooked to the hose, could it be pop off or something else not allowing the back carb to pull fuel?
Did you clean out every brass fuel fitting? Did you pressure test the pulse cover? Are the lines hooked up correctly? Did you double check your internals… fuel pump check valves and diaphragms set up correctly? How do you know it’s not pulling fuel?
And what happen if you don't block the return line?
so my dilemma is that I can’t get either carb to hold pressure when pumping up for the pop off test. I block of return, hook up the the pump to the inlet, wet the needle valve with wd40, and it will pump up to about 20psi and just leak down. What can I check?
First, look at your instrument lines. Are they tight both on the carb and pump. Every now and then I have to cut back the line that connects to the pump because it widens and wears out.
If that isn’t the problem, try this…. Spray soapy water all over the outside of the carb and pump it up again. See if you have some leaks.
Another possibility is the needle and seat valve is needs to be replaced or it isn’t OEM. The needle has to be replaced every 3-4 years. When they develop a defined indentation across the rubber tip, they need to be replaced.
@@2-smoke I’ll give these a look this evening when I get home. I know it’s gotta be something dumb I’m overlooking.
@@2-smoke checked them out and may have been the lines not tight enough but got it to pop off correctly. Ran it in the lake and ran great except for what seemed like the last 1/4 throttle. So gotta figure that one out now.
@@kyle92lx are you saying you are having issues at 3/4 throttle? or 1/4 throttle. Just want to clarify your statement... If you have stock jetting, you shouldn't be having any issues. What is the symptom/sign?
@@2-smoke runs like a scalded dog up to 3/4 throttle. Last 1/4 just feels flat with no rpm or speed gain. Far as I know bone stock with a 135 high speed jet I believe
