@605BOLT thanks for this video! you explained things so clearly and great close ups/camera angles and everything, easily the best rebuild/pop off video i’ve come across and i’ve been using it as a guide to rebuild my dual carbs on an xlt 800 basically identical setup to yours i’ve got this baffling issue where i can’t build pressure above 40psi during the pop off test, i have the same tester and it goes past 100psi with just the hoses blocked off up to the carb inlet, don’t see any signs of a leak in the needle/seat, no bubbling, really at a loss as to why it won’t build up higher pressure
I have another video coming out later where I needed to adjust these settings. It had a bog off idle that I couldn't fix. I got a bigger needle and seat and pulled pop off back to 45 and it cleared right up. Assuming it will help you too. Thanks for the kind words. Could be not building pop off because the needle and seat are wore out.
@@605BOLT thanks! i’m subscribed and looking forward to that video. My needle and seat is actually brand new oem mikuni, and i used the oem rebuild kit as well. Decided to think out of the box a bit and found that air is actually leaking from the other side!! (pump side?), so weird, i tightened up the screws but it’s still leaking, made a short video of it ruclips.net/video/yYGBgW8ufnk/видео.htmlsi=xZu5CcGbfQNIXnoN the carbs are from 20 year old machine, wondering if they’re still fit for service

Great video bud/ Your hose to the Accelerator pump has a check valve inside it. Do not throw away the hose. look inside for jet style check valve. Reinstall it! I set my Pop off at 35 psi

Great job thanks.....the check valves are cupped though make sure the green/blue strip is up.
Yes. I didn't see any cup on mine but def that's the way to do it. I will pin your comment in case anyone misses that. Thanks for the kind words!

Hello my guy..... Greatly appreciate your videos I might be needing some of this information in the near future

I just went and checked the hoses. I actually kept them. No check valve😬. I wonder what is going on there?

Idk. That's why in the next video I ended up changing some pieces around per sbt. It ran on plane ok but wouldn't hole shot well.
Nice. Liked the video
That was a crispy pop off though.
Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You're welcome.
Cool 😎

True. But it's just a picture. As long as you get the Mikuni kit you're good.
Do I have to adjust the idles and lows and highs or if they look right then don’t even touch them
If possible, don't mess with them. If it runs, leave it.
The settings are highly dependent on where you live and any mods or not.
