The mcgonagall is actually new, she has a new face print, a new torso print with arm printing and a new dress print.
Also the description is the two hogwarts set stated that they are from a new series of hogwarts modular sets, so it confirms that there’re a new hogwarts system🤓
That Professor McGonagall is actually new, even though her printing is very similar to the one from 2021. However, she now has arm printing, which was completely unexpected, but I'm glad that they included it for her!
it’s definitely a new hogwarts expansion, the owl wry has no technic pins to connect, and the boathouse only has clips, defo not combining with the 2021-2023 sets and likely not the 2018-2020 one considering almost all of those are retired
OMG, I LOOKED AT THE DESCRIPTION FOR THE BOATHOUSE AND IT SAYS ITS PART OF A MODULAR SERIES TO CREATE THE MOST DETAILED HOGWARTS EVER

I like both colour roofs but prefer the green and it seems a shame to go back to grey now as both sets seem to be in similar style to what we have at the moment
Neville’s got an adorable new face print in the Boathouse so he’s exclusive, it’s so cute.
One thing I don't understand - why the confusion about whether or not this is the beginning of a new version of Hogwarts? It literally says so on the Owlery product page on the Lego website: "Buildable Wizarding World toys - This set is the first in an upcoming series of modular sets (sold separately) that connect to create the most detailed LEGO brick-built Hogwarts™ Castle scene ever". So...no need for speculation - defo says UPCOMING...they're starting again! And what an interesting couple of sets to start with...
I like the gray roofs that way sand green can be used for moss detail on the roofs.
I'm definitely looking forward to these and will get them day 1 (except that hedwig)
I think the small owl is meant to be a small Scops Owl, which is what Ron owns in the books. Local deliveries only.
I'm pretty sure that the two new parts of the castle will compose a new Hogwarts, this time covered in snow and with dark gray roofs, but with single non-modular parts and everything "connected" by the theme of portraits. furthermore, looking at the back of the boathouse set you can see two gray lego pieces that could act as a possible attachment for another set (perhaps an extension of a future set on the great hall or a single set on the staircase leading the boathouse and the great hall, idk).

Professor McGonagle‘s got arm printing
definitely want the boathouse and owlery, i already have the 2019 Hagrids hut so wasnt going to get this one but now im thinking it would work as an extension of that set, not screen accurate obviously but i think Hagrid deserves a bigger hut lol. not bothered about the other 3 sets. Im really pleased theyre returning to the grey roof look, i was never a fan of the nostalgic green roofs as i wasnt collecting when they were originally a thing, and grey is more realistic.
Im predicting a new grand stair case set where you can line the walls with the portraits
It is in fact a new modular castle, LEGO even mentions it in the official description of their website: "This set is the first in an upcoming series of modular sets (sold separately) that connect to create the most detailed LEGO brick-built Hogwarts Castle scene ever". I'm just annoyed I collected the green roof modulars just to learn that wasn't the ultimate one...
I have both some sand green and grey roofs but overall I prefer the grey. Didn’t think I was going to buy the new Hagrids Hut since I have the one from 2018 but this new one looks great! The only one I’m not getting eventually is the Ford Anglia I already have two of them and the minifigures aren’t special enough for me.

...but serious though, if they're listening to fans and finally doing locations that have never been done before...can we PLEASE get a Leaky Cauldron already? I know everyone wants Knockturn Alley (with a new Borgin and Burkes) for the Diagon Alley expansion and, while I do too, I'd much rather see the Leaky Cauldron first with the back alley opening wall entry way because they've NEVER made it.
Need to order a bunch of roofs in sand green, dark bluish gray and white and just change the castle from time to time. Btw, snowy hogwarts looks amazing 😊
It would be fun to change it up by the season throughout the year.

I like the changes they made to the Ford Anglia with the new cheese slope piece and bracket recolor. For me it'll be hard to resist since it's such a cheap set. I have one of the previous ones already, but I'll probably just convert that one into a rusty version like in the spider scene.
It says the owlery is the first in a new series on the lego website. It also says it's the most detailed hogwarts system ever made. Scroll to specifications and read to the last two paragraphs. The boathouse doesn't say that, it says it continues a series. So i guess I'm going to have a 4th Hogwarts. 😂😅
Do the boathouse figures have Gryffindor uniforms when they haven't yet been sorted?
All these new sets will make a new gigantic detailed Hogwarts castle.

I think this is one of the weakest waves they've done since the relaunch, but it's not all bad. I am intrigued by the two new locations that have never been made before, but the boathouse is underwhelming. When I think of the boathouse, I think Snape's death. It's all the boathouse is really known for, it's the only time we ever even physically go there in the entire series. It's not based off of its only real scene, which I suppose is fine as we do know the First Years do go through on their first night, but that's all off screen. So to me, it's just way too underscaled because you can't adapt it TO really make Snape's death scene. It's just way too small. In my opinion, the Owlery is the winner here for the best set of this wave.
The magical creatures set is a huge let down. No nifflers and no unicorn? Not even a full size Thestral...

I copied it and translated it via google translate because it was in Dutch, but this is what it says:
