  • In this video we look at how to play 3 of the most commonly used Spanish Guitar strum patterns for acoustic instrumental Spanish guitar music(which I use in the group Guitarra Azul), including a Bolero and Flamenco Rumba rhythm strumming pattern which I use in songs such as Tres Lagrimas, Sad Angel and Tizi Melloul. Of there are more, but these 3 serve as an excellent foundation to create more variations and groves. These are perfect for all level of players that wish to play this style of music.

    Thanks! This is really awesome. For the first strumming pattern I feel a bit stiff strumming with my ring, middle, and pointer finger. Will I get faster Over time or do you think I need to stretch more?

    • @DavidChiriboga
      @DavidChiriboga  Год назад

      Glad you enjoyed it! So if you’re having trouble with that first strum pattern I would recommend working on your basic rasgueado that is with your a m i i I have a video on that and also a video on the “dirty rasgueado”. Between those two vids, that should help you develop those muscles and finger independence to achieve this strum better with some more time.
      For that strum in particular, just make sure your fingers are relaxed, it’s doesn’t have to be as intense as a straightforward rasgueado, just a little more relaxed and not as strong as an attack.

    what is a single loud strum that rings out called in this context?

    • @DavidChiriboga
      @DavidChiriboga  Год назад

      If I understand you correctly, then you probably mean a “rasgueado” strum. A staggered finger strike/strum…
