I born in Saigon, Vietnam, but I have never forgot my Teochew dialet. My hope is one day, I can visit my ancestor's hometown, Chao-An in Shantow and speak in teochew with the people in town. I can't wait to visit the Kai-yuan Temple and the historic Han-kang bridge across the Westlake in Teochew which I first heard in the stories told by my father more than 50 years ago when I was under 10 years old. Now, my father is more than 90 years old now. He is too old to re-visit his home town. Thanks to youtube and intenet I could searched and related to places which were narrated in my father's stories when he recalled his childhood memories.

Hi bro Chea-Meng, TEOCHEW is the term they use in English and majority of Teochew descendants living overseas. But nowaday in China they prefer to say TEOSUA, Teochew + Sua-thau (Swatow)= TEOSUA.

潮州话唔(不)是厄(难)学triò ( tiò ) zhiu ( zhi-âu ) oè ùm ( u-ầm ) shì óch òc. 因为目前潮语的读音都是唔(不)准 in uy' mằc zei triò ngứ cèi thàc im tô shì ùm zhún ( chu-ấn ). 我已晓得潮语的读音了 oá ị hiạu tước triò ngứ cèi thàc im liàu. 潮语虽复杂但它( 伊 )真丰富 triò ngứ suy hốc zạp tàn i zhin ( zhi-ân ) hông bụ. 潮语有六个声调 triò ngứ ủ lạc cèi shiâ ( shia ) tiạu, 阴阳上落感谢 im dang' ( nhươ' ) zhườ luó cảm siạ.

潮汕语很多有音无字，应该创造字如粤语。用同音字来代替太奇怪。玩耍 用[铁桃]来代替🤣。[谁]用[地甜]译音
潮语都有字，但都是很古早的文字从现代来说都是生辟字。
当然有字，只是有些字现代普通话不用了而已。比如「食糜」，「记持」
