- The Playboy Club was once among the most glamorous locations in New Jersey. Now the eight-story building in Vernon stands as a silent monument to a faded era.

I would love to explore and photograph it.
I can remember going skiing at Great Gorge/Vernon Valley in the 70’s
It's not getting redeveloped. It's totally ruined inside and out. Water damage everywhere, rotting wood, fracturing concrete. Only a matter of time before the wrecking ball, unfortunately.
I dream about this place and rebuilding it and making it into a great hotel of the East coast. I am haunted by these dreams!
I just read today that it sold on March 28th I just hope the new owner does a good job with it. Sad that my dream is seemingly dead but I can't wait to see what comes for this place
The future for this location depends on how much money local officials will get in kick backs for approval of site plans.
That is the kind of graft "malodorous lubricant" as I read it in one book " that gets shopping centers built "
I live really close to this and I have seen it in person. I go snowboarding at Mountaincreek and on my way back i can see the playboy club from the road. I really want to go inside of it.
When I Was In High School I Worked Their In 1974. I Still Have My Last Pay Check Stub. I Made 2.45 Per Hour.
😢😢😢
why is there steam coming out of the stack for an abandoned bldg?
Right? Good catch!
Probably some homeless person got in and figured out how to use the kitchen in its limited capacity. Though, can't imagine this place having any gas, electricity, or running water as it's now a safety hazard at this condition.
I broke my leg. There is a kid at an Amway convention.😂😂
Your sentence structure and grammar are that of a kid, and not a smart one.
Good Job New Jersey. Yet another Monument to your Decline.
Not all things are meant to last forever . They are designed to serve a need in the era in which they were built . Lots of people had a good time in that resort when it was in it's heyday
@@decimated550 It is a waste of a resource.
Means so much to me coming from jackmeoff. A private corporation built a resort that last 10 years and closed and somehow that is the State of New Jersey’s fault?
@@bartmix8994 Enjoy your decline,
Total waste of materials if you ask me. Maybe people who are permitted to build must have a "plan b and c" should the first idea fail. They gave it to low income people. So, I'm guessing low income people can't do their own maintenance. I hate seeing things like that deteriorating with the work and material that went into it.
