  • Interview with UK author Steve Jackson for the TVNZ youth news programme "The Video Dispatch" while he was in New Zealand on a book tour to promote Fighting Fantasy gamebooks. Broadcast on 28 November 1985. Second part is an interview with NZ game designer Matt Taylor about his new game "Breakscore". Following the item is some B Roll footage with audio of Steve Jackson discussing his Sorcery! gamebook series.

    A superb dungeon designer. The FF series was literally magical. Also interesting hybrid by Matt Taylor - my Mum and I still enjoy various boardgames played during Xmas.

      That was the first book I discovered a few months back. Sadly, I had never heard of the series before.

    I'd have never guessed that was the correct pronunciation of Khare in a million years. I've been saying "kare" all my life. Amazing series.
