I though I'd never care about celebrities, but when I learned that Livingstone left Square - probably retired - I cried. Just like that. Man, these guys' books fuel my imagination as a kid. 36 now and it keeps going. Cheers, genttlemen!

Their books appeared in Hungary after the regime change (1989) but it was very hard to get them and the only way you could buy them was second hand. But that generation grew up on those books, had them all.

I remember playing their choose your own adventures rpg game books when I was in elementary school in the 90's, before the age of the internets. All the boys in class would checkout their books from the school's library.

The mightiest FF villain is a double-one roll on Skill, but yes, I see your point

In my opinion, the two best fighting fantasy books are "Armies of death" and "City of thieves". So many funny parts in them!!
Edit: Temple of Terror is also a very good one!

My top 5 Fighting Fantasy books back in the day: Demons of the Deep, Sword of the Samurai, Trial of Champions, Temple of Terror, Space Assassin (especially the teaser room where you think theres a dangerous room when really its just a cafeteria with food that replenishes your stamina! lol these 2 guys had a sense of humor)

The ghoul hops around gleefully until finally sinking it's teeth into your rump. It is not often it gets fresh meat to feed on
