I actually like how Isaac is clean and kept in the remake cause it shows just how far off the deep end he really goes after the ishimura and how much the marker and the trauma has effected him

I was actually going to give EA kudos for this game because it's a graphically sound, single player, linear, not open world survival craft cancer, no forced multiplayer, not Micro transaction riddled, complete game, but then I realized it's because it's a remake of a game from before these things were a plague
Like what they did to the necromorph behaviors. They used to flinch after getting shot but now they power walk right into your face, and in exchange the melee is more reliable and they can't block your swings anymore.
On the point of Isaac speaking, it's not really that weird of a change when you consider that since DS2 and 3 he's become a fully fleshed-out character rather than a blank slate silent protagonist. If anything, it would've honestly been weirder to go back to silent Isaac
if someone in the past told me that callisto was going to be bad and dead space was going to be a good remake i would laugh at their face, can't believe this happened

It's eating away my soul to see Pyro actually use the Pulse Rifle's primary fire and not just spam proximity mines everywhere like every other RUclipsr who played this game. One mine only costs 25 rounds and is strong enough to kill a necromorph if placed correctly, that's already so good. Make them group up and shoot a proximity, that's a fucking death row execution. The ripper is also good for brutes that are under stasis. Those blades shred through yellow matter like hot knife through butter. The contact beam is also mostly a boss killing weapon but it can also be used to melt through rows of necromorphs.
Also the fact that he kept tapping the flamethrower, despite each tap eating 1 point of ammo, instead of holding the button, which would've allowed for like, 3 seconds of sustained fire?
The game is amazing. I got caught in a death lock once though, and I had to restart at a previous save. Sometimes enemies randomly pop out of vents and attack. I had one health left and backtracked to a room to save and right before touching the save icon a necromorph popped out of a vent and attacked and then I saved and then died. Every load was mid swing and I would die. So make sure the room is clear before you save.

For the viewers at home, Pyro’s dad was released from prison and sent to the USS Ishimura and starred in the new Dead Space remake but ended up dying against the first Necromorph he came across.

Instead they copied and honestly the game has allot more problems than people are saying. I've been soft locked 6 times, invincible enemies, graphics glitches, and the input delay is getting really really annoying. I've been hit multiple times because the tk button needed to be hit 4 times
This game worked perfectly for me, except for the fact that I finished the final boss twice, AND it gave me game completion rewards twice, but it won't let me start new game+ or give me any rewards, just kind of soft-locked at the last save station before the boss.
Like the necromorph behavior, that’s cool. Love how they’re constantly sneaking up on you. It would make sense, makes them all the more real and visceral

I like the added dialogue and that they got Gunner Wright to come back to voice him. Not too down with the face changes but maybe since its the first game they tried to make him less experienced and grizzly looking and kinda like a fresh engineer getting into the shit for the first time. If a remake of 2 comes he will start to look more like the original I hope. Never forget Viseral Games and what they accomplished. I'm glad to see Motive do a good job , they were the right studio to give the game a new light. Dead space 2 even has people on multiplayer now and its amazing. Good job for once AAA company, its been a while since a horror game as impactful as this has come out.

Dead Space is such a beloved and sacred franchise that, even EA, of all people, were like "We can *NOT* fuck this up or we will get rawdogged by the fans". Actually kind of impressive.
It's interesting he mentioned System Shock 2, Bioshock, and Dead Space since all 3 of them are pretty closely related if I'm not mistaken. Bioschock and Dead Space were both off shoots from the failed System Shock 3.
The only thing i missed about the original was the old menu with the footage of a decomposing goat in the background. Instead it’s just the menu on a black screen
What kind of frames are people getting on this? I’m thinking about buying this on pc but idk if it will run well judging from how good it looks, I got a 2080 super and a i9 9900k

The Flamethrower fully upgraded is op I found out. It is my go to weapon. The secondary fire works exceptionally well on the wall guardians.
