So many memories. My mom is here right now with all of her sisters, they havnt been together in almost 40 years. I love Maribor so much. I miss my family there.
I’m so glad the video brings back memories! It is a gorgeous city, I really enjoyed my time and Slovenia in general! You’ll have to go back and visit soon too!
Some seriously stunning architecture and drone shots in this one! A very pretty city, especially with all of those bridges 🌉 loved you showing us some of the wine tasting too! Great to see these things in the vlog 😍
Something is missing from all the presentations on YT. A beautiful City Park with a pavilion where there are one-hour concerts every Sunday. Straight along the promenade and further on is the area called Three Ponds, suitable for a short rest and relaxation. The next 30 minutes could be used by walking to the Piramida hill, to the right of the Three Ponds. You would see the panorama of the city, walk through the leafy forest, without much effort. Ask the locals. Maribor is a city of open, sociable people.
You missed to mention one important fact...standing in front of winery and drinking wine there is the oldest grapevine in the world, growing right behind you on the wall of the winery itself. What a pity, one really famous fact and you omitted it.
I mentioned it as oldest winery in the world, what I mean to say that it has the oldest vine in the world. But I did show the sign!😄 I still hope you enjoyed the video!

I know it’s 2 years but you got one thing wrong here, the tower you mentioned as the water tower is actually the judgment tower, the real water tower is about half a mile down the Drava river and sits almost in the river. In this very tower you showed that is actually judgment tower where in medieval ages they tortured 100 of women accused of being witches until confession of witchcraft and then they drown them in Drava or burn them at the stake, this is written in Maribor’s castle archive.
@@LukeGeeTravels Can you believe that this tower belongs now to Maribor’s puppet theatre and they preform puppet shows in there for kids on regular basis😱😱😱 I mean, can you believe it??? kids laughing and playing in the very same space on the very same floor where unimaginable things happened, screams beyond normal, blood flowing in creeks, torturing devices… And the city council does this out of it🤮🤮🤮

Cute town but nothing special to see.I was there yesterday.
Really?! I thought it was cool at least to see for a day. And there are many other smaller towns around with beautiful castles to see.
