the answer is yes. in the ice gym, if you fumble incorrectly it's not too difficult to accidentally get yourself stuck at the middle part of it. a softlock that i'm 90% sure only works because they used the DP version of the gym puzzle instead of plat's the same theory that can softlock you can also be used to skip the gym puzzle if you apply it in a different spot Candice's Gym was not prepared to have you able to go in more than just cardinal directions, huh
You can also get a softer softlock in Veilstone City by having the Stuntank in the bottom left of town push you past the couple. If you don't have Teleport or Fly, you cannot escape. Not as impressive as Snowpoint's softlock, but still a softlock in the right circumstances.

Just in case you guys haven't found out and you see this, Halo Infinite is supposed to have two player local, 4 player online coop. They're working on optimizing the local coop most likely, because it got cut from the bad one because it was too hardware intensive.

I know this game's gym leaders and elite 4 use hold items, and not just berries, actual items like light clay, leftovers, chesto berry with rest. Definitely a lot more prevalent in the elite 4 but they still use items

No, because if the pokemon forgets the HM, you can release it. The problem is having access to a PC box and move deleter on the same island.
