Welcome to my live stream, where I will be discussing my journey from day trading to swing trading and the challenges that I have faced along the way. As many of you know, the markets can be a rollercoaster ride, and this month has been no exception. I have faced the significant setback of losing $8,000, but I am not one to shy away from a challenge. I am determined to master this new style of trading and come out on top.
I know that many of you may be in a similar position, and that is why I wanted to share my experiences with you. During this live stream, I will be discussing the strategies that I have been using, the mistakes that I have made, and the lessons that I have learned. I will also be providing tips and insights on how to navigate the markets and make informed decisions.
Swing trading requires a different set of skills and knowledge compared to day trading and it can be difficult to make the transition. I know that the road ahead is not going to be easy, but with determination, hard work, and the right approach, I am confident that I can overcome any obstacle.
I hope that my story will inspire and motivate you to continue pursuing your own trading goals. Whether you're a seasoned trader or just starting out, it's important to remember that the markets can be unpredictable, but with the right mindset and approach, you can achieve success. Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you. LFGGGGGGG!

I'm a swingtrader too, but it seems i also be addicted to scalping and it fits good to my personality, often in and out in a few seconds sometimes with a high lot size. I just wish i had a good mentor but there is so many scam arround, would need one who i can contact personally if i have questions. Unfortunately no single person in my surrounding is a trader.
The Internet got all information i need but anyway alone is truly hard.

Great vid as always. I’m going the other way from swing to day as ive moved to prop, but yep it’s tough changing 😬 As a living it’s tough doing swings as you need regular income and a trade may take days to fail and less setups so maybe try a bit of both for a while ( I know you have other incomes though!) Jan has been a shit month though - markets are really unstable atm as still a lot of uncertainty so this suits day trading a bit more. Think it will calm soon maybe after next fomc.

I am a swing trader. I analyse mainly on the Monthly-Weekly chart but I trade more than one pair so there’s that. I have 8 instruments I look at Daily, but more that have alerts only at major Monthly SnR. I usually enter / pull the trigger on the Daily/H4.
Maybe a quick thing I noticed during that live. You said the market is not good this month to swing trade. The market is not the problem… and if you blame the market or “how it moves “ for your losses, you probably already know where that leads. I had a great month. Saying it was a tough month is fine. But saying it was a tough month to swing trade is not.

It's interesting that you want to stick to swings , even if didn't work . I think your success depends how much you can adapt immediately to changing circumstances. Sometimes you just have a feel for the market and place a trade in the moment. Be ready for everything. Breakout trading is highly risky and the success rate is relatively low due the deviations and fakouts

My big problem is the number of trades. My thinking is I need at least 1 Trade everyday even though my HTF is 45 Minutes, entry TF is 10 minutes, and LFT is 3 minutes. How to overcome this thinking? I think, around 10-12 trades in a month is ok with this TF. I would like to know how many trades you take in a month?

Tori, I left a comment on your last stream on how I felt 9 times out of 10 the trendline break is almost always a false breakout. So I wasn’t sure if I was one of those commenters that made you “self-conscious” about your own strategy. If so, this is just based on my own experience. You have clearly proven your strategy works for you. Your consistent P/L should make what I say completely irrelevant. Everybody implements trading differently so don’t ever feel like you have to question your skills when reading opposing comments. If you ever doubt yourself regardless of what you’re reading, remind yourself of what you’ve done these past few years that very few have accomplished.

So not that far fetched to say I maybe could have been one of those comments and wanted to give her a chance to respond. Go take your exaggerated emojis elsewhere.

You basicly have to hire other traders to guide you or they won’t talk to you

One thing I for sure have noticed is a lot of traders make this more complicated than it needs to be and they use a lot of big words to make them feel better about themselves. There is a lot of dick swinging going on in trading. Keeping it simple works! You have a strategy you can easily stick to that has proven itself over time, that I'm sure your successful trader uncle taught to you. My mentors all have simple strategies that work. Don't you go changing, girl!

IMHO. If you have a winning formula - don't change it. I know the social media is more engaging, there is a lot of information to cover, there are a lot of questions to be answered, and building a website or discord server, email lists, experimenting with different platform algorithms, etc. I know it is exciting stuff, but an 8000 dollar loss, and the refusal to sim test swing trading strategy, is not going to be good for your bottom line, it's not going to be good for content in the long run, because trading is a faith based system that is why there are gurus everywhere. If the teacher fails, it doesn't give hope for students. I would stick to day trading and cut the day short at 3, and then work on a few things at night for 3-4 hours. Or trade every other day. Like Trade on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Do content on Tuesday and Thursday and the weekends. You know your most profitable days.
What new swing traders fail to understand, is time in the market, now becomes a more important variable with how much margin you have to put up to hold the position, more capital at risk, for less leverage, and that is why options swing traders account for time in the market as part of their contract. Futures just moves based on price as you know, time doesn't make the contract more or less valuable until the rollover period where liquidity is going to the next cycle. I don't recommend setting trades and not monitoring them. And if you are going to set really wide stop losses, be in the market for time, you might as well trade options and not futures.
I understand that daytrading is not practical for 95% of people that work a day job or are going to school, and they are interested in the market and want to trade but not watch the trades.... It's just unrealistic.. Europe and London, has the best lifestyle to begin trading. Work a day job, come home and trade US markets during the afternoon and night. For the US, people need to learn what to trade in overnight markets.
