You should add your general location, your anticipated minimum temperature. Winter backpacking in New Hampshire, Maine, New York, is different from points further south. -10 C / 14 F is different from -20 C / -4 F. -30 C / -22 F when the water is icing up in the pot as you walk back from the stream is interesting.

Nice! I'm freezing just watching! It's 18 degrees here at the high so I'm staying inside for a while! lol I toss and turn; did you have any trouble with all the layers of the sleep system getting all tangled or out of place? What can I do to keep it all together better?

Oh my gosh!! Becky that is COLD! lol. It's chilly here today too. Yeah I do have a problem with tossing and turning and everything getting tangled up lol! Every time I flip over I have to re-situate everything. The summer setup is easier for sure! I know some people just go for bags instead of quilts - if I ever get really into trying out gear I may try out a bag again. My old setup was a bag and it was pretty easy! Hope you are having a good weekend so far, Becky! Thanks for watching 💛

I have a lot of your sleep gear (flex quilt 15, Nemo, liner, etc ). How low a temperature can you comfortably sleep with your setup? Maybe I missed it. Thanks.

Hey there RC! So, the temps got down to 16 on my last trip and I was not just cozy, I even got a little hot overnight! I haven't pushed it any lower than that, but I definitely felt comfortable in those temps! There was a thick layer of frost on the inside of my tent when I woke up, lol. I think the extra reflectix underpad helped a lot too.

Your videos is always amazing. Are you going hiking anytime soon even if it's a day hike? It's always good to see you in videos. I have my wife watching your videos also. She thinks you are amazing. God Bless you. Can't wait for your next video.

That is so kind!!! Thank you Robert! Aw, tell your wife thank you too. Yeah, I do a lot of little day hikes around here! Am likely headed back to Georgia again in a few weeks for another little hike. But I also found out about some neat places in Chattanooga I'm hoping to explore soon. One is an island on the river close to downtown that you can rent out overnight for camping! You have to canoe there. Hope you are doing well and are getting to do some hiking soon!

@KaraKirtley I haven't been doing any hiking since my back surgery back in August. I'm still healing from it and maybe going to have another back surgery in the next couple of months.

You didn't use protection for your air mattress. My niece did like you did. So i got her a cheap military style pad. So far, she hasn't developed holes in her air mattress. You need it to be puncture resistant. There are a lot of pokie things out there. I am amazed at all the video hikers not using protection on your super expensive air mattresses.

So you didn’t watch the video, or maybe you watched but didn’t listen, or maybe you skipped it.
