As 22 year old male, I’ve always grappled and struggled with what it means to be a man. I’ve struggled with coming to terms with my inherent sinfulness and selfishness. Even though I have a good role model in my father, I’ve always seen myself as unworthy or unable to meet the “high standards”. Because in my heart, I know how important and big of a responsibility it is. But, it was pointed out to me, that it goes much further than fulfilling a role. We are called not only to be a man, but a man of God. One who, by the grace of God, follows in Christ’s model of sacrificial love. IT’S LOVE! Love is the driving force behind everything we do, love is what drives us to willingly lay down our lives for others, in servant leadership. And though I am human, I know that Christ has already fulfilled this role - that I might depend on him for strength.
This is going to be a very welcomed teaching for many single mom's like myself who are raising boys. Thank you Pastor Jack! We are greatly blessed to call CCCH our home church! When the Lors moves us there, over 30 miles away, I was wondering how long I'd be able to make that drive because I work in Pacoima, that's 30 miles from home in the opposite direction! With a severe back and neck pain injury, I honestly didn't think it would.be for long. 6-7 years later I have never considered the time on the road because the Lors has used that time to teach my boys what He has placed in my heart to teach them from His word! He is awesome! I was struggling getting my teen boys excited about Bible study daily as a family and honestly I was lagging and blaming my pain after a long day at work. But I kept praying for the Lord to push me so now we look forward to traffic time and Bible study at home. GOD IS GOOD! I will incorporate these teachings as they come for my boys. We'll be watching with Bibles open hearts ready to receive! Thank you for being obedient to the Lord. We're still praying for your sleep. We love you and Lisa and we keep you all in our prayers often. May the Lord bless you and keep you Pastor Jack!
I have told my husband that if men would be the men God created them to be then women could be the women God created them to be. Frankly, I’m exhausted from having to do both.
I strongly believe that if your husband can see for himself what God expects from a man, he will understand for himself and for everyone else. Only through the Lord’s grace and mercy are we able to see ourselves the way God sees us. And that is what is needed for true change.
Our prayers are more about OUR time spent with the Lord. No man is going to change due to our constant prayers - as their walk (or lack of one) with God just may not have any foundation. To not go insane in this type of marriage, our biggest challenge will be to turn the husband over to God. I know this is true...but to be honest, I haven’t quite mastered it. I also have no hope in what my husband will achieve spiritually without the Lord. So...it is an uphill climb. I pray for his salvation, which I can’t see. I pray that Father will give him a hunger to become who he was intended to be. I pray that for myself too. The times are dark. Several generations have not placed importance on godliness and spiritual upbringing...does a whole generation (or more) of men really NOT KNOW HOW?! 😭. I get frustrated that they all have the ability to learn “not required” things (electronic games, how to grill, sports stats, etc), but no DESIRE to learn how to be a great husband or an engaged father. ☹️
5 wise No! I would not say that prayer is ineffective - EVER. My clarification is that we spend a lot of time praying for others and ONLY looking for the results in THEM. Many times the person will not change, so we need to measure the effectiveness of our prayer in some other way, not by looking at the situation/person. I was simply saying that our prayer time is sometimes more about the comfort and encouragement and growth of more and more and more time with Father. WE change because of that, even if nothing else changes.

I have seen this with my own two eyes; men and women ARE different, and that's good. Watching my little niece and nephew grow up, there are very distinct differences between the boy and the girl, and these differences are just THERE innately. That doesn't make my nephew better than my niece, just different. One is a boy and one is a girl and it's OBVIOUS, not only by their looks but their behaviors, likes, dislikes, preferences, etc. I keep finding that God's word is actually true and i can really depend upon it, which is nice. It's far more reliable than any other book. Not that you'd go to your Bible to fix your car, but you'd apply it's teachings of controlling your anger and your tongue while working on that car, which would make you more likely to be successful when you DON'T take your anger out with the socket wrench...
I love the fact people don't know they are searching for truth. They land on Pastor's channel. You are actually crying out. God hears your heart. Why fight it? If you don't believe, why be in opposition and feel you need to expose this on Pastor's channel? Need prayer? Ask any of us here who love the Lord and believe in Jesus.

I have bought my boys Nerf guns, water guns, paint guns and BB guns they have a nice collection of knives and they want real guns when they grow up. Most importantly than anything in this world, they want the Lord Jesus Christ and to serve Him! That can never be beat by anything else! For any single moms watching these videos feeling hopeless in raising strong young men, look to the men in the Bible as I have and teach them from God's word. That's what I have done and so far so good because you can never go wrong going straight from God's word. From one single mom to another, I want to encourage you that it is possible and you can do it too no matter what their age is, it's never too late! Find a good Bible teaching Church with strong men of God because it does take a village and be mindful of who you bring around your kids because they're always being molded and inspired. I am a warrior I did 9 tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan even though I do not agree with why we were fighting, I would defend my Brothers and Sisters till Death. I Sacrificed allot of my life but I wouldn't have it any other way I feel like I was responsible for those lives until they were Hardened enough to do it for themselves and teach others. I think You are mistaken, Saul was chosen by god. Samuel 8/17 When Samuel caught sight of Saul, the Lord said to him, “This is the man I spoke to you about; he will govern my people.” God later removed His anointing from Saul.
