Did my own playthrough recently. I got confirmation that the character abilities do not need to be used the VERY NEXT time you perform that action, just whenever you want to.

I know I'm late to the party, but I just bought this game and am looking forward to playing it! At 59:47, page 17 of the rulebook states that you pay the cost and take the better benefit (" Since you have already traded once with this stall, you get a better bonus in exchange for the same cost".) The example given is the exact one Frances did, so I think she spends the one and gets the three at the cost of one. Thanks for the playthrough! I am a visual learner and I find all of your videos extremely helpful for getting an excellent handle on where to start.
Thanks for the video! I'm learning the game and following through with the rules. Duly noted that you stated this was not a rules teach. However this may help. I have the French rules as well as the English translation, which introduces ambiguity'. At 12'45" you have a question. On page 30 of the rulebook. The rules '1E1 to 2E3' that read beginning with - "One of the next time you perform and action on Neo......" Should really say- 'On one of your next times on Neo....' So optional on any future turns on Neo.
Just wondering if you guys have got this to the table much since posting this video. And how you still feel about it. Considering purchasing it now that it is available at our FLGS but the price at $99 is a bit steep.
This is a game Frances keeps wanting to get back to the table. Unfortunately we’ve been so behind on our review queue that we haven’t played anything outside of what’s on that list. Soon though. Frances still loves it and refers to Federation as the best game she’s played in 2023.
I really like the way this game plays. I'm sure it will take a couple of play throughs to get it down, but you guys made it look like a lot of fun. Thanks for another great video that shows us why we play these games.....the FUN!!!
Oh I had thought this game lost too much at 2 player, which is always our player count. But sounds like you all think it’s still excellent at 2? What is the complexity and game length similar to? Sub-Ark Nova? Much more than like Lost Ruins of Arnak in terms of game length and complexity?
Finally got to the end of this play through! I'd already ordered this, its just backed up so I'm waiting for the shipment. Supposed to be this month so very excited.

Good for you for not taking cash. Okay, a free game is still pretty good incentive to leave a positive review, and EG KNOWS that, so that's why they hand them out. Personally, I'm sick of watching 'paid content' channels and can't delete them fast enough. Every game is 'phenomenal' if you know what I mean. Now, you get people in the middle of board game plays segueing into talking about mouthwash or cell phone plans. It's just ridiculous.
This game has finally come to Australia, 2024! I played it in a games library at Cancon and I loved it. My friends were not sure about it. I’ve ordered a copy for it.

Also it looks like it plays great at two without too much fiddliness or an annoying shared ai third player. 48:55 - based on another rules teach I watched, I believe Francis is supposed to drop to the bottom of the section of the accreditation track that she can pay for, not the top of it.
Mrs. Ant Lab (Frances?) said this hasn't been quick and I think it played quickly, tho I have been watching this off and on for most of the week. Great play through.

Are you keeping only 100 games? Or are you going to restart growing your collection? if you're staying at 100 - would be interested in know what game 'drops out' when you add a game (like this) in.

I’d say it’s thinker than Arnak and plays in a reasonable timeframe.

That is correct! We never played the other side but I knew there was a way to change the advanced machines.
I have the Deluxe version and I am Canadian. The Deluxe is in most all stores here.
