Very cool. I was looking for a way to do this that was easy to follow yet with end results that were very appealing. you nailed it. Thanks for the tutorial video.
Hello! it awesome what all you can do with paper cutting and lighting. I have a doubt and problem that I need to solve to make shadow box art. What's the best way to contact you?
This looks great! Really cool. I’m going to give this a try. Do you think that the same could be achieved by layering the pieces on the sheets of paper from lightest to darkest without acetate?
Yes you can. This was my very first video on lightbox portrait. Since then I have perfected the method quite a lot. Check out this video on lightbox portrait ruclips.net/video/m3PzfV8Q2SQ/видео.html The only issue is that without acetate you won’t be able to give gap between the layers
This was very first method I tried. But if you want gap between the layers, which gives the depth and 3D effect, this is the way to it. Later on I perfected it with a different method. There is no gap in this method so 3D effect is missing. You can watch video here ruclips.net/video/m3PzfV8Q2SQ/видео.html
@@GenieCrafts I splited the svg by layer and did 5 printouts on acitate sheets and did the same layering process in the box. But it looks transparent and the image floats in between
Great. Please share images with me on crafts.genie@gmail.com. I would like to see how it comes out. You have given me a good idea. I will definitely try it out. In fact very soon I am going to launch something similar

bonjour je suis actuellement en train de regarder votre tuto n' ayant aucune connaissance en anglais je voudrais savoir si j'ai bien suivi il faut enlever les couleurs du plus foncé au plus clair
Actually, I don’t have an alternative. But I did post another video some time back which does not use OHP sheet at all. But in that case there will be no gap between the layers. But this way it is easier to do. Here is the link - ruclips.net/video/m3PzfV8Q2SQ/видео.html
@@madhavanj998 nothing if u r taking the printout on originally created size. But if u take printout of an A4 design in A3 size then it will become blurred and pixelated with jpg, png etc. but it will not happen with svg
This is not any standard sized shadow box. I got it from ITSY BITSY store. You can check their online website for availability. This size was between A4 and A5

Instead of cutting and sticking to activate sheet u can directly print only the perticular color shades ex the darkest one first

Depends upon your material cost and effort cost

Sorry I don’t have yet as I right now I don’t have a Cricut machine. May be very soon in future I will share a tutorial on same

Where can I buy that shadow box/light box?
Visit ikea website for India

That is not a paper. They are called transparent acetate sheets or also called as OHP sheets. It’s available in any stationery shop

For this I used 220 gsm card stock paper
