- Long time no see everyone! Hope you’ve been doing well.
Traditionally, Chinese people begin preparing for the Chinese new year starting from the Laba Festival, which falls on the eighth day of the twelfth month in the traditional Chinese calendar. This year it’s on January 10th, 2022.
What does Laba stand for? What do people do on this day? And most importantly why do people celebrate this holiday? Let’s find out.

It was not only during the Cultural Revolution. During the reign of Emperor Wu Zong of Tang, religious persecution towards Buddhism and other foreign religions, such as Zoroastrianism, Nestorian Christianity, and Manichaeism also happened.
It's great that there are people who still care so much about their historical and cultural heritage.
Looking forward to seeing the next video.

Hi
I'm from Tamilnadu,INDIA I'm very much surprised to witness many similarities between Chinese and tamil culture
1. pongal is celebrated as thanksgiving day for the farming and whole agriculture process ..it's 14th on Jan month this year. it is celebrated as very big festival here.
2. Conjee which u have mentioned is pronounced same in tamil language.. it's basically fermented rice with water.
I am very interested to know about Chinese culture ☺
I used to live in Kerala, and I was also surprised by the similarities to Pongal. So interesting!
Stay safe and take care!
Would you please do a video about traditional preparation you would do when you know you'll be moving on to the afterlife soon as well as both practical and symbolic reasons? And the same info for mourning traditions?
I'm nearing that portion of my life and am hoping to be able to give some beauty, meaning, and sense of peace and purpose to it for those I leave behind as well as taking that element with me into the afterlife.
Hi I'm from INDIA I iam interested in Chinese culture and I am excited to learn your culture please I tell me about your culture
I think it is red cow pea not red cowpee. 😁😁😁😁😁😁
LOL nice catch! Yes correction: cowpea not cowpee
I like the layout of the dynasty timeline picture you use. Did you make it yourself? I can't seem to find it online to be able to save it for myself for personal reference. And it's really hard to see the small words in the video.
马面裙事件希望多讲讲
Wooow .. i like! This content desperately needs P R O M O S M.
I don't understand why the Chinese adapted Buddhism which came from Northern India. I think Taosim is the way to go.
