    I play chords all the time on bass. I usually combine it with a tap harmonic technique and it is such a nice sound.
    I honestly thought you might of mentioned Schism by Tool or Walk On the Wild Side by Lou Reed when talking about bass chords

      @@khankann At 6:10 in the video (G major chord), what you call the 7th (D string, 3rd fret = F), is what I know as a "minor 7th" (flat 7th, or dominant 7th). A major 7th would be the F# on the 4th fret. So it appears to me, that you are playing a G7, or G dominant 7th, chord, rather than a G major chord. But I could be wrong.
      I still love your channel. 🙂

    • @khankann
      @khankann  Месяц назад +1

      @@Dave-nt3kz thank you Dave! The terminology, unfortunately, can be confusing. You’re right, and I’m right too, because it’s a major chord (that refers to its 3rd) with a minor 7. Typically, major chords use the minor 7s if they aren’t 7+.

    tatiana i am having trouble keeping my wrist straight and relaxed when i'm playing busy disco bass octaves. it's such a fun and useful technique but i get pain and fatigue after just a few measures. can you maybe do a video about disco bass safety?

      @@jonhillman871 hm, it can be a good topic to cover, thank you! For now, you can try to lift the bass neck higher. Maybe to hang the instrument on a shorter strap or play in a sitting position. It might help.
