Thank you. It really helped me to replace my Honda Accord ignition switch. The one screw of the ignition switch which is behind the steering rod and in between those big two bundles of wires is the only painful thing, which you skipped in the video. It's very difficult to unscrew and tighten that screw as there is no space and it is placed in a weird angle. Somehow I managed to tighten 😅. It's all worth it. Thank you once again.
Hey bro, I’ve been having the same problem with this. My vehicle has a remote starter and it also has aftermarket surround system. I replace that exact thing that you did did the exact thing that you did yesterday and my car acts like it wants to turn on now, but it doesn’t turn on. I put the old one back in and it turns on
@@kevinroberts781 yes it was. I did the same thing I put the old one and came home. Did some more research put the new one back in but a relay switch and put that in the bottom fuse box near the pedals and fix my problem.
Thank you for the video. Did you have to turn the circle/hole in the middle of the switch manually to get it in. I had to but then the dash was all lit like the key was already in it. 😢
Im having the same issue with the ignition switch I just got from AutoZone. I think its the wrong part, it doesnt have the groove like my oem part either. Can you confirm if this was your problem? thanks
Shut up haters, this dude is just tryin to help out i mean fuck! What happened to being cool folks? You keep doing you bro and dont worry about these posers and trolls my guy
Hi there, my car will crank up but will not start. Will replacing the Ignition switch help with this? Because a week or so ago the same problem happened, I was using the new key I ordered it would crank but would not start , so I used the old key it started right up. Now it is doing the same thing.

@@RobU1968 did you get that figured out? It was the lock cylinder, wasn't it. I'm doing my 06 right now and everything seems to be out. I replaced my starter when it wouldn't start at all and the next day I can't even get the key in the switch.
@@Pipizzakitchen The first ignition switch I bought was a$20 aftermarket one off Amazon. When installed it, the key wouldn’t turn at all. I returned it and bought a genuine honda ignition switch from Amazon, installed it and it worked just fine. Get what you pay for.
There's no way in hell I would let you work on my car you missed the screw scratching the plastic then you messed up the plastics using a screwdriver to split the two peices a putty knife works just as good and doesn't screw the plastics up when doing it

Yeahhhhh...glad it helped
I’m stuck on that right now. I can’t get it. 😭
Thank you brother! Every other video doesn’t include the actual screening and putting the piece on. Your video helped so much!
What would you recommend to do if the ignition switch does not fit in snug. The part inside seems to not align with the input
Glad it helped

Same exact issue here. I had to put the old one back in. Returning the new one and getting my money back
Is the part you bought made by car quest?

When I turn the key sometimes I hear a buzzing noise under the dash, then the engine will start. Is the ignition switch going out?

I have an 05 Accord V6 and it makes the exact same sound whenever I start the car. I thought that was the starter motor about to fail.
3:52 is the actual starting process of the video
So, you're saying the first 3 minutes and 51 seconds were just a warm-up act?

Mine is doing the same. Replaced it, but now my key won’t turn. Put old one back in and key turns fine, but still the same bad noise.
