I remember a funny story which involves STEVE in the early 1980s with ED (Van Halen) ...I don't know if Steve might remember this....In an interview Ed was saying that in 1982 in Sunset Sound (or maybe Amigo studios) Steve was in the studio at the time when VH were mastering the Diver Down album. Ed & Steve were talking about stuff...Ed had recorded this little piece 'Little Guitars intro' after hearing the brilliant classical fingerpicking of Montoya. Ed couldn't do that stuff so by breaking the rules on how the instrument was played he found a way to get the sound he wanted (holding a pick to fast pick the open strings with the R. Hand while hammering bottom notes with the left sounding like Montoya) He played it to Steve & Ted Templeman & they were both scratching their heads.🤔🤔..lol....Steve asked - 'Ed, how did you do that ? ....We know you don't do classical fingerpicking like that. You MUST have overdubbed it right ? Using 2 tracks' ? ......Ed said -'Oh no I didn't.....Steve & Ted go - 'Oh yes you did'....lol....But Ed went -'Oh, no I didn't,,,& I'll show you how I did it on 1 track without overdubs ' ....So Ed picks up the guitar & shows them the technique he'd come up with & Steve & Ted started laughing...lol 😂...& Ed goes - 'If I have a sound in my head I'll find a way to do it by going beyond the rule book. Don't knock it guys. It worked 🥴...lol....Actually in the taped phone conversation between Ed & Jas Obrecht in 1982 Ed was playing the technique down the phone so he could HEAR it but couldn't SEE how it was getting done . & as the conversation progresses you could hear poor Jas getting more & more confused 😵💫😵🥴 as he kept assuming overdubs & couldn't see what Ed was doing to reproduce Montoya without the finger/thumb picking......Poor Jas......lol....When Ed would break the rules on the instrument he would confuse & dumbfound so many other players....lol...Me included God love him.
Tbf I mix using vu’s sometimes if a client is on the phone or whatever… as long as you remember what channel sounds like what then you can basically mix till the end of your memory…
You promoted this in advance for a couple minutes of rehash from a previous episode. And, it was mostly about cocaine. Just earned and unsubscribe. What a shady bamboozle. Why did you do this?
these are the greatest...THANK YOU ALL
LUUUUUUUKE❤🔥⭐️🎸🎶💯

“He mixed by the meters”. I wouldn’t doubt that he did that. Funny story!
There was more conversation about Al. I wonder why you guys didn't include it in this clip.
Al Schmitt didn't need an EQ, he was the best when it came to microphone placement.
Steve looks like Jesus under that lighting 😁
He is
The opposite of "smokin in the boys room" is "s***tingin the girls room".
