Yeah, MinWoo and MaRu were the best. Everything about them felt so genuine and natural. At first it was like a bromance, but you could quickly see how much MinWoo was struggling with his feelings towards MaRu and seemingly losing. And then, fortunately, he got help, forcing MaRu to realize the true nature of his feelings for MinWoo.
And their first kiss.

I think it would have worked a different way as well. It's clearly to see that everything about Marus world is circling around Minwoo. He always runs to him, hugs him (normally the others hug Maru) and try to make his life easier.
He also noticed that something changed and got worried. I think that the slut-thing really hurt him (even through he came back home and forgave him). He probably didn't understand how he should take the kiss, when he was called a slut at the same day from the same person who was his most important person.
If Minwoo would have him told his feelings honestly, I think it would've been even easier for them... but I get, why it was hard...
