The sunrise at Desur was beautiful. We used to climb Desur Hill in the 1960s, living in Khanapur. The best scene was the bullock carts over taking the train at Ugarkhurd.
Unfortunately, even if you get a RED cinema grade camera, the picture quality won't improve since the glass is tinted. Visibility becomes zero when it's dark outside. Thanks for sharing your childhood memories though. Being an old school railfan myself, such comments put a big smile on my face!

Before and after Gunji a small stretch was 90 kmph and Desur outer - Belagavi outer a small stretch was 200-205 kmph pre Covid days else till Dharwad 60-75 kmph mainly...due to huge curves in forest area Khanapur - Alnavar Jn and hills post Aknavar till Kyarkop Kyarkop - Unkal it is 85 -90 -95 kmph or so pre covid says Now donno Seems it's slowed down between Londa to Dharwad whenver I travel in 20654 and 16589 😒
@@sandeshts9190 I didn't mean by natural beauty. I meant in terms of speed because this line is majorly plain line but still operates at 110kmph for the high priority trains only and not for normal sf Or express trains. This is not the case in KR.
The reason is it passes through the dense jungles abutting Dandeli. From Belagavi to Miraj, it should have been upgraded to 130kmph with doubling and electrification which they didn't.
