    Had my 14" set for about a year with excellent results, the ride is great. I really like that I don't have to tweak the adjustments which can be a chore on a Trike. I do need to keep my weight steady so the shocks know what they have to deal with lol. Video does a good job explaining the reason for a quiet role out.

      So glad you like the shocks and that they are giving you a noticeably better ride quality. We have done a lot of testing to figure out what to set the shocks at to be the best ride for a large weight range. Glad you are happy with the preload we set for you.

    These are absolutely the best addition I have put on my truck today absolutely no way you can go wrong in buying these shocks and install them. I have a 2019 trike and it has made it ride like it was a Cadillac I used to always have to use my backrest. I very rarely use the backrest now except on long ridesis so comfortable I just can’t explain the change it made in my truck. Thank you DK.

    For the price you pay for a HD you would think they would at least put a decent suspension system on...

      For the price you pay you would think they would even put a comfortable seat on them but, they don't. Going to be interesting how this shift of direct buy and ship to consumer will play out. I wonder how much savings there will be by passing the dealerships.

    You mention Wilber’s while comparing. Do these adjust ride height automatically or just dampen differently with added weight?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  Год назад

      They do NOt adjust height or sag automatically.
      They do dynamically adjust for:
      Weight
      Surface condition
      Speed
      Braking
      Acceleration
      Wheel vs. chassis input
      For more details on how they work you can see at this link- www.dkcustomproducts.com/dk-custom-nexgentm-premium-rear-shocks-for-harley-davidson-baggers.htm
      And more on the dynamic adjustment in this video- ruclips.net/video/N1cUpgNJ7i8/видео.html

    These will be the next upgrade for my 2023 tri-glide. What are the pros and cons for the 13 " vs 14". Merry Christmas

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  Год назад

      Merry Christmas!!!
      There is no perceptible functional difference between the 13" and 14" NexGen's for the Harley Trikes. They both have the same amount of travel, 4 inches. The 14" have a tiny bit more oil in them, but that does not impact the ride quality at all.
      For installation purposes, the 13" with the Comfort Lift will install a bit easier on the 2017 & later Tri Glides than the 14" with the Comfort Mount.

    From being a super light rider and all, went from legend to ohlins and still having issues with finding a solid shock, also have gone from 12 to 13 inch rear with full suspension, truly I'm not sure if there is really shock I would say would work for me unless it was on a sport bike, both me and my father can't seem to find a solid shock nor think there ever will be

    Can you run a coilover automotive shock 14 in on a trip 16 tri glide

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  6 месяцев назад

      Can you? Yes,
      Will it ride good? No.
      Coil over shocks have valving in the shock, made for the weight/travel/geometry of the vehicle they're made for. The spring is rated for the same.
      I do not know of any automobile that has the same characteristics as a Tri Glide, so the valving and the spring rate will be for whichever vehicle you buy the shock for.
      Also, the Tri Glide cannot have a shock that has more than 4" of travel, otherwise hard parts are going to run into other hard parts and cause some damage.

    I know you commented me about 4-in long travel I found a set of 4 and a half inch travel shocks air shocks will that work on my 2016 tri glide

    • @DKCustomProducts

      4.5" will make hard parts hit other hard parts and cause damage to your Tri Glide.

    Not sure if I missed it, but they auto adjust for riding conditions. Do they auto adjust for a passenger's weight? Constantly removing the bag is annoying

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  Год назад

      It really depends on the weight difference. They will dynamically adjust for weight variations of up to 150 lbs.
      Additionally, we do set the preload for you and your passenger if you ride with a passenger more than 50% of the time, or we could set it at a happy medium between what we would set it just for you or for you and a passenger.
      Also there is an option where we set them for you and give you the setting we would use for you and a passenger and you can change the preload depending on how you are riding!
