My wife and I stopped by a few years ago in our way to the keys. Ted was a gentleman. I gave him a wall hanger for his collection, he reciprocated with a signed piece of Ted memorabilia for my wall. In the words of Ted ….. “he’s a cool guy”. 👍🏻

I met Ted vernon with my family we went down to his lot we are from Cincinnati Ohio and he was very down to earth and one of the nicest person we met down there and no matter what people say about his cars they are old and thats what make them special love to Ted from Donnie Ratliff and his family
I was his mechanic before, during and after the show. Dream job but man they worked me hard, too much drama too. Alot of those cars were there when i left 10 years ago, hes added alot too

I've met Ted Vernon before and worked on doing deals with him .. hes just a good guy altogether. Smart business man As long as you're on your toes hes a great guy to deal with So to anyone who says anything negative You are the ones that are trying to get the deals that you just can't get Because hes definitely not stupid But his word is his word And you can count on that

Been on the lot. Cars look better on tv and pics than in person. Most are waaaaay overpriced. Hacked up. If you’re not experienced and know the market and know about cars… you’re gonna get played. Know your stuff before hitting a place like this.

I remember he used to have nice show pieces all I saw is that buckets with the exception of that chevelle and maybe a couple of other cars.

The problem is not that his cars are "rust buckets." The problem is that people want a flawless car but not spend any money on it. If you want a perfect car, then you buy a brand new one or you buy a classic that's been fully restored. Most of his cars look like restoration projects and if you're not in for the task then you keep it moving.
He is here saying he needs to sell some now, the problem is he has them priced like he doesn't want to sell them.

Yeah I lived in Ft Myers .you have to keep your car inside.Salt air..if it's a tidal water street .then salt water ...drinking is sulfate .it will eat the radiator and engine block.interior.glass paint..South Fla is a bad place to buy

HELP....back in around 1982 I was on US1 in south Florida. Saw a company. I think was called The Candy Man. They had awesome cars there. Some from movies like American Graffiti and Indian Jones. I can't seem to find find any information on it. I know it was on US1 and up and down that strip, we're expensive exotic cars. And Lamborghini and Jaguars ect. Anyone know??

Ted is good at the hustle. The true fact is that he has been selling that property since the day he bought it - it’s al old line of his that he rolling out again to roll in the buyers. It’s always a good con when you can draw in buyers eager to buy because they think you are losing money or that you are under the gun to liquidate. A year from now Ted will still be selling his cars from this same location. He does have a lot sale proof cars that he is tired of tripping over that he would like to sell so he can have some space for new inventory

A lot can happen in a year or so. Yes, he did did move his dealership to Lake Wales - Miami real estate went nuts and it was a great time for him to cash out. @@macayers

Wow, that place has gone downhill. Grass/weeds overgrown, dirty/wet ceiling tiles, cars that look like they’ve been sitting for years. Basically looks like a closed up old car lot.

Update 03/19/2023: Ted arrested for kicking and punching Robin after a heated court battle.

Remember Ted V was in 79th in 1990s, he had a 20 ft albino python and always kept rare oldies and took advantage of the money there at the time, and it was plentiful in them Miami streets to sell anything in at a premium

A little over 40 years ago, I watched Ted beat a much younger guys ass in a boxing match in Coconut Grove. Dude is real tough guy! He is an American original! Although he has always sold interesting cars, most of them are junk.

My Father-in-Law would Buy, Fix and Sell cars on the Street. When he got sick and couldn't do it anymore he would just sit in a car and Dream. That Killed him... I miss him.
It's like that Johnny it sucks. We all get old and get sick and just can't do it no more. Its very sad me and my older brother use to restore antique cars. He got sick and passed away 16 yrs. ago we had a lot of good time's. You will always love and miss them. Nothing wrong with that my friend.

doing customs and body and paint for a living......well it's not all cracked up to what you think it is, IT'S A TON OF WORK AND ENDLESS HOURS, you just see the end result and sell them with out getting dirty !
A few years ago didn't this guy have a reality TV program buying and selling collector cars. He drove around in a Rolls Royce Phantom and had a drop dead gorgeous trophy wife who worked in the office with him. Also had a young chap who did all the car cleaning. In this footage he seems to have come down in the world selling old clunkers full of bondo

She posted a picture with a blackeye and a busted lip. She said she couldn't keep covering up the truth about the abuse for the tv show anymore. They have been split for a while now.

I was born and raised in Miami ... before he moved to this location he is at now his car's were junk ... they all leak oil ... except the one's for sale inside the showcase but they don't belong to him .. he gets paid to sell them ..
