I watched the game it was intense and the ref cheated
has to be the loudest "REF U SUCK" chant ive ever heard at any mls stadium and it's not even close, atmosphere and intensity was insane but please investigate this game MLS
Worst officiated game I’ve seen in a really long time, but the adversity the Crew overcame after losing one of their best players and their coach, to go and tie after down 1-0, incredible

As a Crew fan, it was a great game for both teams, y’all out played us for 75 minutes of that game even without the ref sucking so bad
Yeah I honestly thought NYCFC probably deserved the win despite the complete incompetence of Boiko and this ref Crew. Don't know how we managed a point out of that.
As a Crew fan, I’m happy I wasn’t the only one who thought that lol. Ref was terrible for both clubs, and despite me being a die-hard Crew fan, this was the first match I had watched in *years* where I genuinely struggled to watch the game.
That being said, I think the reffing got into our side’s heads, which makes sense considering how young a team we still are. Despite the reffing, still a very good performance from NYCFC, and an honestly disappointing one from the Crew. If Patty wasn’t in goal, that is no doubt three points for NYCFC.

this has to be one of the worst officiated games in mls history. still though, the crew found a way to not lose a 10 vs 12.

I loved how they cut out all the parts where they show how embarrassing the reffing of this game was! Missed red cards being shown even. Im going to LOVE their statement on this!
Ik, this film showed nothing from the game like the should have been Yeboah pen or even some of the Crews yellows or the bad foul call on Zely in the 1st half

Crazy game to be at and an amazing goal from Columbus to get something out of the game after all that drama
Aside from the horrible (and I mean absolutely horrific) refereeing, that atmosphere was absolutely crazy. When that goal went in it may not sound too crazy with the highlights but man being there and watching it go in was absolutely crazy. Couldn’t even describe to you how loud it got. And then the “F*ck you Ref” mixed with the “Ref you suck” chants made it a whole lot better 💛🖤

I was here for this game and I have to say that this is the absolute worst officiating that I have ever seen MLS needs to investigate also Schulte was the player of the match
I have never seen a game so terribly reffed in my entire life for both sides. I work at the Crew and there was a Q&A after the game for the ref anyway, what a game to have to answer questions for!
Was there too it was interesting to say the least...I felt like they threw VAR under the bus.
Worst highlight editing ever. completely failed to capture the sense of the game, which was out of control by the officials from literally the first whistle.

Yep they did they checked it and no pk...I was at a pro referee thing after the game and the center said it was checked. I looked flabbergasted at him like dude you should have called that it was RIGHT in front of you!!!
I have never seen a stadium so United against pro referees, brought tears to my eyes to know I’m not the only one who thinks these guys are clowns

The MLS needs to get their refs in line. The whole stadium was in shock like “what did we just witness” completely lost the plot and lost control of this game. I’ve seen better officiating at my children’s matches.
The weird irony with the Crew getting screwed around the 88 min or so, and 2 red cards and var review, extra time gave them time to even up. Terrible ref. Will the Crew Coach Nancy red card get removed ?
That ref shouldn’t be entrusted with officiating a peewee match.
Schulte and brady is by far the best 2 keepers in the league

MLS does not seem to see VAR as a tool to take the Ref’s ego out of the equation. By being used only at their discretion it feeds the power they have to stick to a bad call and fix the outcome of the match. Independent authority for VAR that answers only to MLS HQ is badly needed
It's nice to see the Crew steal a stoppage time point for once instead of giving it up.

@@mworkman3375 well the reason that Caleb got fired was bc he made the crew let to many goals in at stoppage time and we should have made the post season/playoffs instead
@@MemeeditsW he also led us to an MLS cup. Portland, as well. Like I said, we've lost a bunch of games earlier this season under Wilfred in a similar fashion. He's not a bad coach.
A) Can our defense stop having so many lapses in concentration? They kept getting beat for absolutely no reason and had to get bailed out by Schulte on numerous occasions. Second, the officiating in this game was so horrible, incompetent and out of touch that it should be used as the primary textbook example on how not to officiate a soccer game and the entire referee crew needs to be under investigation, fired and get whatever licenses they have revoked for how much of a sham this was.
The fans and teams also deserve a public apology from the league and PRO at minimum as well and have every card handed out in dissent or other bogus reasons be revoked by Monday. There is absolutely no reason that a ref should feel the need to hand out cards on 13 different occasions in a match like this.
I've never been a fan of Degen. He reminds me of the defender upamecano at bayern. You can't really count on him as much as you'd like if there's a counter attack
@@mattd2026 It’s not just Degenek though. There were multiple instances in the first half where our defense should have done better but didn’t. Moreira for sure is also an issue as he kept letting attackers get behind him and failed to cut off through balls to compensate.
@DeltaZapdos I've noticed that from degen since we bought him. I give the rest of the back line a break because they aren't the #1 defender. I'm curious to see what changes nancy makes in Jan

That referee had no control of the game. None. Inconsistent. Giving out cards like candy. Both teams and coaches were frustrated. While I can understand suspending the assistant for throwing water at the side ref, giving Nancy more than minimum suspension and missing the rivalry game as a result is a JOKE! Shame on the MLS. Credit to Columbus for showing some grit and forcing a tie.
The high kick should be more fairly yellow. I can also fairly see that NYC FC is dominated the game. Congrats to the Crew to earn A point @ home.

@@MatthewERyan He hasn't played at all this year and has been healthy off the injury list and hasn't been on the bench at all. There are reports of him going to be traded to a team outside of the US.

Don't call it match fixing. Call what it really is: incompetence. They are bad at their jobs and MLS is not willing to spend the money to fix these problems. Incompetence all around.
The referees name is sergiy boyko. Do with this information what you will.
A 46 year old former player of Ukrainian descent, he was forced to leave Ukraine and come to USA as an immigrant. He reffed several usl games before moving to mls and serving as a match ref and 4th sideline official.
Ukrainian/Eastern European…no wonder he was crooked/paid. (I’m Eastern European btw)

Can somebody explain to me why Nancy was sent off?? Looks like a crew assistant threw the water bottle and I know he ended up getting a red too but why Nancy?? Cause he stepped on the field? Only thing I can think of. League has to take another look at this one. Ref was off the yerc the whole night buddy needs to mix in a water
Because Nancy entered the field in a confrontational way in dissent.
Straight from IFAB Law 12.3 Disciplinary Action: “Sending off.. deliberately leaving the technical field to show dissent towards or remonstrate with a match official…”
