As a brazilian I was impressed with how well the US defended itself. Clearly a well trained team, probably on the same level as one of Brazil's top teams like Palmeiras, Flamengo and other giants. They held up well and their goalkeeper... Man, what a savior. Congrats to our american friends!

Brazilian here, I was impressed to see the USMNT drawing with us, and the rise of soccer there, well done!
So close to a win as well. This was a different team than the Columbia match. All we really did though was clean up the sloppy mistakes.
Loved the defensive pressure by Pepi, but Balogun's technical ability and pace in transition seemed to make Brazil very uncomfortable. He has to be the 9 going forward this summer.

Great tactical game from the US, despite Brazil clearly not playing with its main tean from the get go. Dorival is doing sone testing. Still impressive nevertheless, americans always have amazing tactical grasp in sports and we as brazilians who usually take it for granted when it comes to football should take note. They dont have any fancy global players and still managed to be competitive. Huge wake up call right there!

Drastic improvement over the Colombia friendly. Created a lot of chances and forced Allison into some great saves. Turner was also very good in this one. Especially in the second half.

Honestly, US should have won that game. I saw the xG after the game and I don't know where they get those numbers from but the US had more and better chances. All of Brazil's chances came from the same left sided run shooting across the keeper, which Turner became wise to after the first goal.

Good call by the ref on seeing Richards actually got a foot on the ball instead fould/yellow. But, however, FIFA rules on VAR say the only things that can be reviewed are Penalty/non penalty decisions, goals and straight red cards. What the heck is this ? there is a reason for this rule, and its so we are not stopping the game every few minutes to review.

I wish B.J. Callaghan was the head coach instead. The team seemed to have better chemistry. Their game just flowed better, I don't really know how to describe it. Not to mention zero drama with the team as well, which is important for morale purposes.

@@lowercentenary It's at home and notice, most of our starting forward and midfield lines in the 4-3-3 setup Berhalter has been experimenting with are teammates of the guys who play at big clubs. We have some top 50 players in their positions. Reyna is struggling now but he is very dangerous on his day... US definitely has the quality to make a quarterfinal, semi is unlikely. Matching the 2002 WC result is definitely possible at home in 2026.

Turner was the MVP by FAR. I hadn’t seen that level of goal keeping in awhile, it was genuinely him vs the 11 players of Brazil, it was beautiful. Without turner, it genuinely would have been like everyone had predicted (6-0), (8-0) some crazy number. USA’s defense yesterday was awful
