Wow, Dr. Kim... you totally killed it! There are so many intelligent touches in this performance... Tempos are sensible, neither dragging in the restful portions nor frantic in the brisk ones, and the many tempo changes seem quite natural, even logical. I also like the un-exaggerated dynamics, and if there are some rather loud sections, I wager that Scriabin specifically called for them. The recording venue isn't particularly warm-toned, but I heartily welcome the degree of clarity you achieved. Kudos as well to the piano technician who voiced the instrument so perfectly - the high notes beginning around 11:45 come through without any banging. I would greatly enjoy hearing your interpretation of Sonatas 5 through 9 if you can find time to record them. Best wishes from the USA!
This is a unique but a very fascinating interpretation. That section where it gets intense at 2:04 is nicely phrased. Wonderful performance.
