- A NEW Lap Record of 2:10.49 sec. on Dec. 26, 2020 in a Porsche GT3RS Weissach (1.5s faster than my previous record of 2:11.99 sec. a couple of weeks earlier).
New R tires and really good track conditions. Unfortunately a bit of traffic even on this fastest lap as I lost time in 2 sectors (at the beginning and the end of the lap) as you can see in the video.
A 2:09 range is quite feasible given ideal conditions and will be the target next time.
I'll also post 1 other video with a 2:11.05 & 2:11.55 laps in heavy traffic (passing through several cars in each of the laps).
What an incredible car!!
Amazing car and awesome driving, from what I can see in the video you are a bit too early at some corner entries which compromises your exit speed you are losing quite a bit of time there and you were a tiny bit too late on the brakes at T1 other than that congrats awesome lap time with few corrections I have no doubt you can get in the low 2:09 range. :)
Good feedback. Thanks. 2:09 is certainly doable as per Circuit Tools analysis of my laps. Lots of fun and fast lap time for a street car.
This Lap Record of 2:10.49s, followed 2 fast laps in-traffic (passing thru 5 cars in the lap of 2:11.06s) as per this 2-lap video link I'm posting here: ruclips.net/video/1Qwdr_JXiM8/видео.html
Check it out!!
Awesome! A 2.09 like you posted might be absolute limits? Also are you using Cup 2Rs or Trofeo Rs? Do you have a preference between the two of them? Thanks.
My friend Gabriel & I felt a 2:10 was possible when we set then a Lap Record of 2:11... this video:

A lot of things need to happen for a 2:09 lap: ideal conditions and faultless driving... Target for Jan. 22.
Lap records are set on Cup2R but the wear is quite high and so is the timing drop (1s the next time). TrofeoR has a stronger side wall and lasts 3-4 track days with min. time loss compared to the Cup2R
