Mary, my heart is breaking for you. I grew up with an alcoholic mother and totally relate to not having a mother, even though yours passed. I struggled with food addiction for a long time. It wasn't until I recognized the connection between food and my mother was I able to break free with God's help. Sending love to all the guests.

Such an emotional demonstration of how we feel about ourselves and our life and how it reflects in our attitudes surrounding food.Dr Oz dealt with this in a loving sensitive way that made them feel safe to open up to start the healing they need🙏🏽

One idea and story I heard was a study on food people ate. They found that when they asked people to measure what they ate, they lost weight.
One simple idea I like for food and drinks is give the number of "egg-sized" equivalents one has for a meal or snack, then notice how you feel and/or other metrics.
As one eats, one can count each "egg" one eats. One can round or measure to the nearest 1/2 "egg".

I used to be like that. Plus I hid a stash in my dresser drawers. Then I found keto. It took a process from dirty keto to better keto.
I've lost 75 lbs in less than a year. I don't crave those binges anymore. I do think about my feedings from time to time, but then I make my fatty coffee with butter, HWC, mtc oil and it is satisfied.
It became a game of numbers to stay within my keto numbers and watching the pounds and inches fall off.
    I have more to go.
I use to drive to mds and order, then drive to Wendy's and order followed by Burger king and order then pull over in the parking lot and eat it all, then go home and make supper for hubby & me.
There were also times I'd make two gallon ziplock bags, one sweet and one salty. The sweet would have captain crunch, choc Rice Krispies, honey cheerios and what ever else looked good. Mix it up in a giant bowl and put into two gallon bags and tire up all the boxes and hid them in the trash (used the black garbage bags so you couldn't see what was in them going out to the big trash can) hiding it all then in my dresser drawer in my bedroom.
Then I made a salty bag with multiple nuts & crackers, mix them and do the same thing with the boxes and bags...
It was really bad!! Those bags would be fine in 3-5 days😓
I don't crave those things anymore when I pass them in the groc store.
Keto/carnivore has been a life saver!!
I'd encourage anyone to try the dirty/relaxed keto. It is so satisfying and there are thousands of great recipes out there. Lots of people to follow on RUclips too.
Prayers for those caught in this trap.

To change your binge eating you first have to address the reasons for the binge eating and find healthy solutions to replace the binging.

These people need counseling to find out WHY they are doing this…bingeing is only a symptom of a much greater mental health illness…😊

I have to be on a gluten free diet I have a lot of things I become allergic to every thing.
And I work 3 pm to 11..I come home I try not to eat when I get home. But I sometimes get up and I can't sleep so I eat ice cream it is gluten free and the lower calorie kind But I find myself putting peanut butter on it.
And I'll eat and feel so guilty and I have put on the pounds over it ..I have no idea how to stop it..I even fight with my self over it ..

Don't have the junk food in the house.
Step one. Buy healthy food instead, you control what you buy.
