I only have a 3s Typhon but it's still a super fun RC. The 6s is an absolute beast. Great speed and jump capable. You really got yourself a great RC and did an awesome job showing it in action. 👍
I totaled my V2 Typhon yesterday doing a speed run. Damage report; Bent chassis, bent front shock tower, broken right front A arm, broken shock, broken front bulkhead, lost the rear wing and broke the mount, etc. That thing cartwheeled for what seemed like days. After doing the math, it would cost more to replace everything that was broken than it would to buy a new one. Oh, and I broke the Dynamite GPS I had mounted too. Hit a pothole after the left rear tire blew out. It was fun for years though. That thing took one heck of a beating. The V5 Typhon will definitely be my next RC. Note to self; eBay on-road tires and 6s power don't mix, lol
Ouch! LOL! Sorry to hear about the wreck but it sounds like it the car treated you good until then! With speed runs im kinda nervous im going to do the same lol!
The best street tire I've found so far for the Typhon 6S are the Pro-Line Avenger SP3's belted tires. I'm sure there's other alternatives for different applications. I personally didn't care for the factory off-road tires and went with a set of Pro-Line Badlands tires for running off road. 4S is quite enough for the Typhon 6S but that 6S is sure a lot of fun.
Love the typhoon used to have the 3S version I tried those street tires before and I hated them I much prefer the stock buggy tires I just got the 6S in the mail today I can't wait. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
@TRAVELER197 I appreciate that!! Rc as a whole brings me joy! This car being so wild was a whole different level of excitement! Definitely fastest car I've ever had!
Red thread lock is over kill...i guess if you never plan on changing your pinion its okay...For me even blue lock tight usually makes it almost impossible to remove grub screws...
Hold a solder tip on it for a few seconds will make it easier . Even heating up a screwdriver tip flathead and holding it there for a few seconds will transfer enough heat to loosen the loctite . Bash on brother
@RCLifeChoseMe Yeah, she's definitely a fun one! I need to do some tuning and get her under control! I need to get me a Mini-B next! Buggies are awesome!
@@HumlsHobbies the mini-b is so nimble. it handles so well. Of course that handling went out the window when i slapped a 7800kv brushless motor into it
@@RCLifeChoseMe What esc and battery did you use? I have a brushless mini B that is stock besides upgraded shocks. I thought about upgrading to a faster brushless system but the room under the body is so minimal. I have a Mojave Grom on a Brushless 3S 4500kv setup that has hit 57mhp so far on stock gearing lol
@@Shreddylife I used the Hobbywing EZRun A1 motor/ESC combo. I am still using the battery that came with the car. As for receiver, in order to keep the factory transmitter I used a HRZ00006 Proboat Receiver which can bind to it.
Great video! After 2 hours on the pavement and on 6s and full throttle all 4 of my tires were completely bald. So much fun! Thank you and God bless!

@@HumlsHobbies It was a blast and I love the Typhon platform. It's so versatile. I wonder if there's a V6 in the works.
@CBRuRedE1 I hope so! I wouldn't mind seeing a 4s one as well!
The Typhon is really such a good platform for the price. I love my TLR Typhon that I just put together, super fun cars
@@Shreddylife I'm enjoying it so far! It's definitely the fastest RC I've ever owned!

She is a ripper glad you like it
Yes she is!! She fits right in with the fleet!
The way I heard you laughing makes it worth every dime!

@roadstar499 it's definitely overkill, but I usually just heat it up with a small torch, and that helps take it off.

Good tip,but I have done this method also..with good and not so good results..not all thread locker is equal...
You'll never get the pinion gear off again with red thread lock 😮😅😅😅
Looks like a fun one. I like both offroad and on. The only onroad I really use is my Mini-B, which is kinda becoming my little speedrun experiment car
