They'll stop at nothing to prevent people travelling
Powercut ❌
Cyberattack✅
😂😂😂
The lights went out and everything went dark.... sounds like white supremacy 😂
Guess it was the Russians again. That is getting so old.
It was Just Stop Oil, keep up 😅
The Russians are a convenient scape goat.
The local bakery was out of doughnuts this morning. I think it was the Russians again 😂
No battery or generator backup?
You must be kidding.
This is what happens when you cut corners and strip every penny of profit out of a business.
They had a generator but it didn't do what they thought it would.
=> THEY NEVER TESTED.
@@lumpyfishgravy Why does that not surprise me. 🤣
Also, you need multiple generators at any airport. Therefore I don’t buy that the failover didn’t work.
They should not have a single point of failure.
@@ApexCypher_ It probably worked fine electrically. It was the IT that wobbled and crashed. They should have war-gamed it to prove it worked at a systems level; and if possible test it annually because of the high turnover rate of IT.
Perhaps "somebody" thought the impact of testing was worse than not testing.
@@lumpyfishgravy I think you’re spot on. I think the IT fell over but they don’t want to admit it. In 2024 you’d think those in charge would see value in building resilience in IT.
They don't know if it blew or was cut 😂😂😂.
Leaves a lasting mark and people choose not to fly next time.......how bloody convenient.
Welcome to Labour's 2030 climate agandas. This will happen a lot once labour gets in . We will be going backwards to blackouts and goodness know what else they have planned .
@user-em2ml7pd8e It is not Labours 2030 climate agenda, learn something for heavens sake!
Dreadful thought. How depressing 😢
@boota1979 it's the wef agenda
World economic forum goons
Yep, shades of the early 70’s looming.
As an ex maintenance engineer I can smell bullshit……..Generators are available & are usually tested every 3 months as part of the PPM schedule. A simple press of a single button on the changeover panel will confirm this. Even with DEI in force any maintenance engineer could fall asleep against the panel & carry out the test!
So one power cut everything stops, no back up power? Brilliant.
I bet "just stop oil"...had alot to do with it
Was it one of the illegal engineers???
AGENDA 2030 SHEEPE!!!
@wyndhamhewlett8223 Why would the global elite be taking out an airport!!! They are controlling the world and do not need underhand tactics!!!
No travel
Incompetent system administration not providing adequate back up and using fundamentally insecure software. Blame the management.
No planes, trains and automobiles, no pollution.
Back to horse and cart
@@lucyallsop88 Knee deep in poo.
Let me get this straight , airports were privatised years ago and the senior managers are often earning £1m salaries ( so the money is certainly there) and even charge you for dropping granny off today , indeed everything about an airport screams ‘ this is going to cost you !’ Yet they have never invested in back up generators ??? Seriously ??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Anyone for a cashless Society?
Exactly, No power, no computers, no bank account access, no water supply or central heating pumps, no traffic or street lights. Electricity is everything!
Manchester airport has always been a disaster area, thanks to being mainly owned by local Councils. Liverpool airport is a dream by comparison.
Weather cup through the cable needs sacking
Imo Manchester airport is one ilof the worst airports i have ever been to. I hate going through there. Birmingham is giving it a good run for its money theses days though. Third world comes to mind when suffering a trip through Birmingham.
What a nightmare! I can't even imagine it. Sadly, things like this can happen. Thank heavens, I've never experienced something like this. GG Texas.
London Standsted is very chaotic and busy as well i hate going there. Flying these days is a minefield you never know what will happen.
Stand by generators wete removed unbelievable
can't wait for digital currency .... Not
You won't fly and be happy.
Quick efficient flying does not help with net zero. Annoying lengthy processes make you say im not bothering next year.....😮
Blame poor building/ installation & maintenance!😊
Actually a management issue.
Reminds me of Die Hard 2
where was the backup gene
Did someone watch diehard 2 😂😂😂😂
Just imagine all those "poor" millionaire's couldn't leave the UK
Your part of the problem, a millionaire isn't rich with all the money they printed and being rich or poor is not a crime. Printing money is, then again all the social programs you probably support requite money printing.
@marcritchie4968 I agree with john but also you
@stequality so your a commie who kids on he isn't a commie
They should take lessons from South Africa 🇿🇦 where power outages are the norm and yet planes land and take off. Just saying 🤔
You'd think (a) workers learned to detect underground services before stabbing them and (b) airports had some kind of backup plan, which they war-gamed to make sure it worked.
at least fcking tell people whats happening what a joke
Go hand luggage only ......
No question this was a trial outage by a feral state. Russia, China or even Iran. Something bigger could be brewing.
@brucklay227 Oh! stop being so melodramatic.
No probably our own traitor sell outs are behind it.
@@boota1979 ignorance is bliss when it comes to sceptics.
@@brucklay227 Nothing sceptical about it, I disagree with you.
Pesky far right again problem
China, Russia or iran
This won't happen in the NHS...Starmer will have GB energy on standby...🤔
Another fairy story.
@@collier8931 exactly
Vote reform.
Brandon did it
Open up the coal mines and get the coal powerstations back up !
FU EU this is BREXIT working.
What's a cut cable got to do with powerstations!?
..they have to extract more coal for the 150 tons required to build each wind turbine....Green scam.
😅😅😅😅😅blame Russia! 🇷🇺
IT'S ITS ...... MUH RUSSIAN PROPAGANDA 😂😂
We know who it was and we respect you 👀
