been there done that and not going back there , had a scania 164 4axel tracktor with stearing on the 2 front axels and chip tuned up to 700 + hp and triptronic gears = manual/auto gear that will do the job NO problem.

Scania Power: IT is not aloud to drive without winter tires and chins in the truck. and you will need the chins from time to time! this is a normal snowy day on a "normal" road's in many parts of Norway.
Norway must have by law chains four wheels on drive axle, one wheel steering axle and two wheels on trailer and that all to semi. When driving with truck only then both wheels on steering axle. And chains must be with spikes.

Im from Poland and i driving a new Daf with a new tires! :D and i never thought to drive in your country...because Finland and all skandinavia making a problem for everyone in East Europe (EST, LV, LT, PO xDDD, BG, RO) and i thought about muslims... Finland and all Skandinavia are'nt making those problems. Only problem in Skandinavia at winter is East Europe truckers. They can't drive at snowly and slippery roads. They will stuck or even stop their trucks anywhere they want. 4×2 truck, stupid driver, hurry and bad tires=problems. We can't do our own bisnes, because we are standing and waiting that somebody will clean the mess... We have had bad, heavy winter. We will survive, but East Europeans will not. 85% all truck accidents are made by cheap E E:s... Think about it!

Scary stuff indeed.
Problem is when you stop on a hill due to loss of traction even with chains it's probably very difficult to get going again.
Make winterload. Thats helping much. Then wheels, chains and driver. Then no problems. Just truck driving in north.

Is there many trucks in Norway (i"m not talking about foreign trucks) driving in winter with normal tyres(no winter tyres)??????
It doesn't matter if it's a big truck or a small car, no Norwegians drive with regular tires in winter! If you try, you won't have a car next spring.

Long registerplated trucks are big problem in Finland too... EST, LV, LT, PO, BG, RO... Stupid drivers can't drive and tires are old hard shit...
