Nice driving from you, but you choosed the wrong road by driving to Tana from Karasjok. If you had drove off from Karasjok toward Lakselv and then to Ifjord, you would have saved at least on hour driving.
Normal winter roads. I have travelled these roads more than I care to remember. Chains are rarely used. If you have good tires and it's cold enough it's like driving on a paved road. Troubles starts when the temperature is around zero. Then ice gets slippery.

Guss Have you heard of Instant on Chains? they came from Sweden and are costing $2,200 Canadian dollars back in 1974. the idea is that they work on air pressure which pushes a wheel against the inside of your drives, on the wheel are three links of chain with nine links in each segment. When you need chains you just push the button. Perfect for single axle trucking. Might wan to check them out. Breeze. easier than getting out and chaining all the time just one button. Breeze.
good tyres is a must up north, but we rarely need to use chains though they are always bringed during winter. we have trucks buildt and set up for traction, dont speed down much in good winter conditiones compared to sommer :)
Great driving in poor conditions, though hills are a lot steeper than they seem on camera. What tyres were you using and did you use snow chains at any point.
Thanks for sharing this video, I'm a 30 yr veteran trucker from the US. How long did it take you to do this trip? By looking at these roads I guess it took a lot longer than what I'm used to.
they are called onspot and works quite ok, not as good as regular chains, but still, costs about 6000 canadian dollars, much used is also boxes of sand infront of the drives, works that also and cost the same,
Per dag 2 keer 4 en een half uur rijden, met een daar tussen een pauze van 45 minuten, 2 keer in de week mag je 10 uur rijtijtijd hebben. de diensttijd per dag is 15 uur dus daarin zijn de rijuren de rusttijd en de laad en los tijd.

Hahaha, you are right! I was talking with the Norwagian driver. He also hate this fucking iceroads. Watch Iceroadtruckers on Discovery. They have big roads. In Norway the roads are very narrow. Shall I make a programm on Discovery Channel? Thanks for your message!

Wat ik mij afvraag is Hoeveel uur mag je eigenlijk rijden en hoeveel uur moet je minimaal rust hebben ? Overgens vind ik deze vids waanzinnig goed !!
