Miljenco Matijevic did the vocals for this song. He is the former lead singer of the real band, Steelheart. And for those that think the movie was about Steelheart, it wasn't. The movie is the unofficial story of Tim "Ripper" Owens and his stint as the replacement lead singer for Judas Priest when Rob Halford left.
Interesting fact, my father grew up with tim in kenmore Ohio. He owns a bar up the road from my parents house in Akron. I've met him a few times down the way, nice guy.
I posted this back when I was young, and it has acquired an incredible amount of views! I am particularly glad I done this as many people seem to have enjoyed it just as I did! You couldn't find this song anywhere when I posted it and I done it to share it with people who wanted to enjoy the music, now I am part of a band that has the exact same motive, and would like to offer you all the chance to enjoy Jimmy And The Riddles, a South-East England based Reggae/Rock n' Roll Party band, looking to give it a go at making peoples evenings! You can find our content within my channel. Thank you all very much :)
I like all the versions of this song. I just like this song. I've seen too many of my friends turn a dream to stone. I know all of you who listen to this song know that and have seen that. I don't know who wouldn't like this movie. Well, the critics didn't, but that's a critic for you.
Zakk Wylde, Jason Bonham, Jeff Pilson, Jeff Scott Soto, Michael Matijevic, Guy Pratt, Brian McLeod, Myles Kennedy, Nick Catanese, And like 4 or 5 other musicians added to the soundtrack.
The movie is inspired in Tim Ripper Owens.. not in Steelheart ;) don't confuse the voice of Mark in the movie with the story of the movie. Sorry for bad english, i speak spanish :$
im glad pilson,, wylde, and soto are in this band because one jeff pilson did great work with my two favorite bands dokken and the legendary RONNIE JAMES DIO WHO PAST AWAY. and zakk he is just kick ass on guitar great guitarist. and of course jeff scott he with yngwie malmsteen he was just great with them did i mention bonham he i mean good drummer this is a fuckin great line for this band
well, i'm a pretty good drummer and i play since i was 6 years old, and i've never really thought about learning another instrument (or vocals) but i fucking wish i could sing like that. just because it's so damn awesome....
@WickedRuss Whats up fellow Steel Dragon fans! Ive had the Soundtrack since the movie came out, this is my chance to look over the credits. So far no credit was given to any 'real' band for the songs, although it does give credit to Sammy Hagar for writing Stand Up. It does however list the names of the band members used as 'Steel Dragon". Steel Dragon is: Zakk Wylde: Lead Guitar Jason Bonham: Drums Jeff Pilson: Bass Nick Catonese: Guitar Mike Matijevic: Vocals Jeff Scott Soto: Vocals
Dudes... The songs are from an actual band.. called SteelHeart These songs existed previous to the movie, but in the movie there's the excelling collaboration from Zakk Wylde and all songs remastered and re-recorded... SteelHeart kicks ass but for example in this song, I like the movie version better, with Zakk on guitars!
Former Steelheart member Kenny Kanowski wrote this song We All Die Young and Mili of Steelheart sings 99% of these songs in Rock Star check it out it's true 2018☝️
Sorry Guys, But the movie is actually about Phili, pa Native Tim "The Ripper" Ownes and his replacement of Rob Halford in Judas Priest. Halford had NOT come out about his homosexuality yet, So had vetoed any references to Priest... Either way, INCREDIBLE Movie and soundtrack! THESE GUYS SHOULD TOUR!!!
yh i found that out a month ago :P i posted that info in the side bar, i dont have the song on my PC atm, ill download it and upload it sometime in the next day :)
uhhm, im led to believe that what happened, was a band was brought together for the film, and the film alone, they handpicked different members of different bands and then brought them together for the film, once the film had been produced, the band "steel dragon" split up and all the musicians went back to their original bands
It's Steelheart (Mili) in the movie , on the soundtrack and in real life. They are still touring together(just played Austin tonight) Neither Zack nor Mark sing the songs or play the instruments in Steelheart on the soundtrack, it is ALL Steelheart
this was not about steelheart, Its All about the Judas Priest and Rob Halford and the Tim the Ripper Story. just to bad they didnt get Judas Priest music rights for the movie :(
Hilarious 80s photo, 4 men that are 5 foot 5 inches acting all hard core and the 6 foot 8 inch guy in the background is a princess...Only in the 80s....Great song, thumbnail hilarious.
Sammy Hagar wrote Stand Up and Shout and has his version of it on his 2002 CD Not for Sale. It's the opening track and has some more Zeppish styles blended in.

Miljenko Matijevic is the singer on the recording in the film, not Jeff Soto. Common mistake...

yo antes era reguetonero pero después de escuchar esta canción me puse mi primer pantalón ajustado de cuero y botas

The movie was actually loosely based on the story of Judas Priest.
this movie wasnt made about SteelHeart, it was actully a true story about the band Judas Priest, the band kicked Rob Halford out cause he was gay the storys just told from the second singer of judas priest Tim "Ripper" Owens.
