I first saw Rockstar the movie probably when I was in my early 30's, now I'm in my late 40's, and I regularly pay the few bucks to watch the movie often. I'm sorry, I'm extremely gay, but I just adore watching Mark Wahlberg with no shirt on, but still has only a leather jacket on!!!! Jesus Christ, can you say SEXY, SEXY, SEXY!!!!!!
My cousin is the real tour manager for steelheart. My dad has the Real leather jacket from when my dad and cousin were hanging with steelheart in CT /NY. Im very proud of the fact i have the legit jacket and mark wahlberg and zakk wylde are imitating my family and my cousin whos portrayed in this movie as the manager. However my cousin looks more like mark wahlberg skinny with the long ass hair. I swear on everything this is the truth. I am also a band promoter in southeastern MA and booked over 200 metal and hardcore bands. Im the son but boy and i blessed to have true rock and roll in my genes thats why im so passionate about music its my life thanks to my dad and everyone ive met in the music business
Not only was the scene for this song the best part of the movie, but the decision to have him fall down the stairs was genius .... had us hanging for a minute ... will the show be cancelled? .... then we get to see his true toughnness. Awesome.
There’s no other era for heavy metal like the 80s. Metal today sounds like pathetic electronic garbage, no meaning in the songs whatsoever. Back then there was rawness, crunchy riffs, and passion. Golden era
When I was younger I actually thought that was Mark Wahlberg singing 💀 what a fool I was, with that being said the one and only Zakk Wylde kills it with his solos while Miljenko might be the most underrated singer of all time
Steel Dragon might not be a real band anymore, but the vocalist for Mark Wahlberg's character Miljenko Matijevic is in a band called Steelheart. The song We All Die Young from the movie soundtrack originally was a Steelheart song but it was revamped for this movie. Miljenko is very talented and has a killer range.
Nick Long Spinal Tap also did live shows after the movie, did not make them less fictional. But if you mean that a fictional band should only exist in the medium they originate from, then I’d say the Foreskins from How I Met Your Mother is the best fictional band.
his name is miljenko matijevic. mili for short. he went by Michael/mike for a while back in the late 80's and early 90's because it simply made thing easier for everybody.

Still we cry alone with concerts left ungiven... I pray for your voice every day Michael Matijevic. Thank god the earth has a voice like you. I am sorry for that heartbreaking accident in 1992. If it didn't happen i am sure you would be the best band in the whole world. I wish we could see the whole band up to this day performing live concerts. I love you, and always will. Milo's voice is magic. Really wish he had had a better shot and Zakk stuck s Together with Jeff P. And made more of this awesome sound. I really miss this style of music.
I loved it when I worked as cross-trained floor staff/projectionist at an eightplex. This movie was in theater #2. My boss told me to check and see if the lights went down. She also told me to do an aisle check and initial the chart, by the exit window. The scene with the band playing this song was on the screen. I kept thinking, "God, I miss going to see metal."
This now my new favorite song from this movie... I thought it was we all die young or colorful or stand and up and shout. Nope! Now it's blood pollutioooon!
My dad, his brother would hang out with my cousin john while he was working for Steelheart, my dads from Greenwich along with rest of my dads family. I was born in Norwalk but now live in MA and FL
All of there lyrics and instruments in there songs are golden by definition and all of there lyrics and instruments playing in there songs you can literally here them from the high heavens above what an unrated rock band complete legends from heart to soul and I grew up watching this movie I was six or seven years old when I first watched it I admire and praise Mark Wahlberg for acting in that movie because nobody could of pulled it off like him nobody can ever match him in my book
Same here man. People give him shit for being sloppy but I don’t care. As a child I would have this in my MP3 player at night and would rewind the solo over and over again and get goosebumps at the end when the vocalist screams lol
Steelheart opened their concert Sat the 22nd with Blood Polution then went right into Livin the Life. Their singer Milo sure can sing. Not sure who is singing on this record - but I don't think it is Steelhearts singer on Blood Pollution.
Larry Charles I just came home after seeing Steelheart live in Busan and they opened with this song and then Living the Life was second. Exactly how you said! Their new guitar play Joe Pessia gave his autograph on his own copy of the set list.

This is the BEST non-existed band in the world. Long live Steel!
Have u heard Steel Heart ?
@@DungeonFreaksGamers I know them yes, they made a couple of songs for the movie. But come on, you know how i meant. (7 years ago btw, lol)

Why can't bands today make awesome music like this anymore?
Cuz it was the 80's and that era of music rocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just take a look to zakk wylde..he play all that songs
There’s no other era for heavy metal like the 80s. Metal today sounds like pathetic electronic garbage, no meaning in the songs whatsoever. Back then there was rawness, crunchy riffs, and passion. Golden era
@@dolph41taylor57 crunchy riffs are the best. No matter how well produced bands are nowadays, they'll never sound as good as 0:49
@@ozzy5160 this soundtrack was recorded in like 2000 too lmao they did a damn good job
Zakk Wylde's heavy distortion is amazing! His sound is distinctive, you can always hear his playing no matter what band it is

Don't forget Jason Bonham on drums.
He did all his own vocals for the movie
Lyrics and composition by Twigy Ramirez ex bassist for Marylin Manson
Don't forget about Jeff Pilson on bass.
Can't leave out Jeff Scott Soto. He killed it on the songs he sang.
Steel Dragon might not be a real band anymore, but the vocalist for Mark Wahlberg's character Miljenko Matijevic is in a band called Steelheart. The talent that went into the songwriting and performances of this movie are incredible! Too bad that no one 'covers' songs from this soundtrack!
"performances' above refer to the soundtrack, not necessarily the acting (except Jennifer Anniston in that slinky jumpsuit...rawr!)
You are aware the original is by Sammy Hagar? Was written for the movie and later appeared on his 2003 album, Not 4 Sale
@Michael Veil "We all die young" is a SteelHeart Original and appeared on his 1996 Album "Wait"
We did! "We all die young".
