We say pica also for spicy. If u would have gone to zambo before the 90s people used more spanish words than todays generation. I was just there 2 wks ago. Many people there now didnt grow up speaking chavacano. My grandparents even spoke castellano fluently. U should ask for "bagon gata"
Yes ,you are right i remember my lola is a teacher in spanish subject. And when the nation declares tagalog as national language then the spanish subject begun to abolish
.so sad my lola.can stil perfectly speak in spañol.so most of the lolas now adays age 80 .

Its not as great as it was. But still worth recommending. They really need to bring the old quality of the spaghetti and improve the ambiance of the place.

So how is stay in Zamboanga? Everyone speaks your native language there isn't?
Not everyone. The younger generation are mixing English, bisaya and tagalog together with Chavacano.
Since you're still in Zamboanga why don't you do ca challenge for a whole day. Speak Spanish only for a whole day and let us see if you communicate with locals there by speaking only Spanish for 24 hours.
