  • Air power is most vulnerable at the airbase when planes are grounded, making them notable targets for adversaries. For this reason, in the event of an attack, returning aircraft to the air is vital to mission success. Airfield Damage Repair (ADR) aims to ensure the airfield and its facilities are quickly recovered in an expeditious and timely manner. This video provides a deeper look into the components of ADR’s crushed stone repair process, the equipment necessary for repair, the crater repair convoy, and the 12-step crater repair procedure. Tune in to learn more about how our Airmen Engineers are paramount to maintaining global air dominance!

Under the career requirements under civil engineering on the air force website one of the requirements is 12 months experience in a subspecialty field. Do you know what this means, or do you have some examples? The live chat agent I talked to on the air force website didn't know.

For initial entry into one of the following CE AFSCs: 3E0X1, 3E0X2, 3E1X1, 3E2X1, 3E3X1, 3E4X1, 3E4X3, 3E5X1, 3E6X1, 3E7X1, and 3E9X1 the requirements are based on your ASVAB scores and physical results from MEPS. For 3E8X1 there is an additional physical assessment that is required along with ASVAB scores and MEPS physical results. However, if the job you are referring to is a specialty duty assignment completion of your technical school within one of the above AFSCs, it very well could require 12-months experience in a subspecialty field. For me to give you a more accurate answer, I would need to see the exact webpage you are referencing.

@@AFCETM I'm not sure why but it deletes my comment every time I try and give you the link. I was on the air force website looking under maintenance careers and I was on the career just titled Civil Engineer. It is listed as an officer career.

@@donmob07 In Civil Engineering (CE), there are both officer and enlisted opportunities. To be a CE officer, you will require an engineering degree (e.g., civil, electrical, mechanical, environmental, etc.) prior to entrance. For an enlisted career, you will have to meet the requirements previously discussed.
