I've been fortunate to visit the Tower of London & glad they keep them on display for all too see. The pics still don't do them justice...these are really priceless works of art...but to see the collection under lights ... unbelievable.. ..the beauty & sparkle is totally beyond anything I've ever seen!!!

If I was William I would definitely use the modern crown and set it with lab grown diamonds to show off modern technology make those diamonds trendy and to not have any connotations with blood or stolen diamonds.
He wouldn't be King William I, there's already been a few King Williams already. The 1st King William was William the Conqueror in 1086. There's been a few more since then too. Last one being just before Queen Victoria in early 1800s. I think he qss William IV (4th). So William of he closes to be known as King William will be V (5th) but a King doesn't need to use his given name once crowned. I go to my local ren faire every year, but I haven't gone since before COVID. I'm planning on going back in style this year, as I'm making my own crown and showing up as Henry V. I've been doing research to make an accurate crown and costume, and these videos on the crown jewels really help

I would love to see a video about the current tiaras worn by the royals today. I find it amazing that the tiaras worn by the Queen isn't part of the Crown Jewels, in Denmark our Queen wears part of the crown jewels as well and they can only be used by her. For example there is the emerald set, they are worn by the Queen and can only be used in Denmark, she uses the set for very formal functions like the New Years reception.

I’m intrigued.. the current imperial state crown wasn’t made for George VI. It was made for Edward George V, it has since gone through x3 modifications. The pearls suspended underneath the arches aren’t proven to be from Elizabeth I, it’s only been suggested since they have no record of where they came from, it’s also been suggested they were gifts from the Russian imperial family.

The State Crowns were mostly gold alloy wire. Very easy to break under any kind of pressure.

That was great Lindsay! I've watched plenty of documentaries on the Crown Jewels but none have been so informative as yours but so easily understandable. Next, I think you should make a video covering the largest 20, 15, or 10 diamonds in the world. The Ko-i-noor, the Hope, The Orlov, etc...Thanks for sharing your videos.

@24:45 you can see the love between Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip! Just look at the smile they shared as she walked past, and his eyes on her! I'm sure she misses him every moment of every day! Just goes to show that they had a love that lasts so much longer than most loves these days. I think their love story was, and always will be, so sweet and special!

If I was William I would definitely use the modern crown and set it with lab grown diamonds to show off modern technology make those diamonds trendy and to not have any connotations with blood or stolen diamonds.
He wouldn't be King William I, there's already been a few King Williams already. The 1st King William was William the Conqueror in 1086. There's been a few more since then too. Last one being just before Queen Victoria in early 1800s. I think he qss William IV (4th). So William of he closes to be known as King William will be V (5th) but a King doesn't need to use his given name once crowned. They can adopt any name they chose really to be crowned as and known by.

There are over 23,000 gemstones that make up the British Crown Jewels, most of them dating back to the reign to King Charles II around 1660.
If you are going to say that ALL of the crown Jewels are stolen, you need to give me proof for EVERY SINGLE one of these gemstones.
There's probably a lot of jewels, well stones that people wear and don't know where they originated from.. unless you mined it yourself, I'm not sure how people can point fingers. They do realize that slavery and the mining of stones and metals still go hand in hand to this day right? I'm sure there are Stones and precious metals that are stolen, but all of them? that's pretty ridiculous..

I go to my local ren faire every year, but I haven't gone since before COVID. I'm planning on going back in style this year, as I'm making my own crown and showing up as Henry V. I've been doing research to make an accurate crown and costume, and these videos on the crown jewels really help

I find it amazing that the tiaras worn by the Queen isn't part of the Crown Jewels, in Denmark our Queen wears part of the crown jewels as well and they can only be used by her. For example there is the emerald set, they are worn by the Queen and can only be used in Denmark, she uses the set for very formal functions like the New Years reception.
I was reading about your Queen recently! She is one stylish lady! Apparently her and QEII are quite close friends and speak on the phone a lot. ☺️

I’m intrigued.. the current imperial state crown wasn’t made for George VI. It was made for Edward George V, it has since gone through x3 modifications. The pearls suspended underneath the arches aren’t proven to be from Elizabeth I, it’s only been suggested since they have no record of where they came from, it’s also been suggested they were gifts from the Russian imperial family.
There are 4 pearls,2 of which Elizabeth supposedly purchased from Mary Queen of Scots and 2 others.
