Honestly, that's so amazing! The turtle look so realistic (at least on my small mobile's screen) that I can't believe it's only sand... I always have a blast watching sand sculptures because they are always so detailed and impressive. Like. You put your time in something that will soon vanish and you do it well? I'm just. So impressed.Great job! 🐢 🐢 🐢
Haha thank you! It was a ton of fun, and difficult to make it look correct c: Somehow this one stood on the beach for almost a week! Yes rain and wind weathered the details down but its still there! Its a new record for us haha :) But eventually it will be gone yes, but there is something fun in that, just doing in for the hell of it haha
I guess some beaches have added sand and not natural maybe? :o Also there is coral sand as well which is a bit harder to work with.. but I'm sure you could make something if you get the sand from out in the water! :D Thank youuu
That sand sculpture is epic.... the sand where I live (it's not where I live I still have to drive four hours lol) it's white and even if you go deep there isn't any clay. The detailing is awesome too!!
That's so cool! The head turned out so well, (along with the rest ofc) Love the details! I definitely want to plan doing something like that with my family, it looks so fun!
Wow that's amazing, I was recommended this video and I normally would just say another random recommendation but I'm glad this was recommended to me cause it has inspired me to try and make a sculpture like this the next time I go to the beach
OH MY GOD!, I wish I could do something like that, the best I ever did with sand, was: I was with some "beach friends" (people that I had just met, and will never see again after that one day), and we digged a hole in the sand and filled it with water, and when we got some good wet sand, we started making a little mountain, and then started dripping wet sand onto sand, making little towers, and a huge tower in the middle, and after a while we had a good "castle" , but then the main tower got too big, and it fell... I don't remeber what happend after that. and I don't live close to the beach, in my state we don't have beaches, and whenever I go to beaches, I usually stay swimming,or eating, because I never remembered to take buckets and that stuff with me, and usually the sand is that super white loose sand, and the only place where the sand is "sculptirable" is really close to the sea, and the watter would reach it after a while.
The dripping technique is the best thing ever! In the video, you can see that girl sitting behind us and building, she was just a random kid that wanted to learn sow we thought her the dripping thing :D Sounds like it was fun though, even though it fell haha. And yes playing with sand takes so much time that I dont blame anyone for not having time when going to the beach. So much other fun stuff to do :D Like it was only my Dad and me left on the beach at some point, because we're invested in it haha Thank you btw
Ok, seeing a whole family making art ist really nice! :)
Its a lot of fun! :D
Right I wish my family was like that
It feels lonely alone
