I would love a video about the remodeling of your mom's old craft room. I think two years is a good enough time to give a good retrospective on everything, especially on your thoughts of first moving in vs now. Also the shots in the snow at night are Oppenheimercore.
Buddy, you could talk about mud huts in SW kansas, and i would listen to you...happy birthday!
I love how easily HP5 handles being pushed. I use Delta 3200 for concerts but ran out one time and used HP5 at 3200 instead and honestly it seemed like similar results except less grainy. I should post them sometime but making videos is draining
Love this! It's really helpful to hear your thought process and how you work with film.
I don’t care for Leica M11s or Fuji GFXs. I’m here for Strawbery shots on HP5 pushed to 3200 and your magnificent 2015 hair ;)
You know you're old when you've been following Matt Day on RUclips for nearly 10 years 😅
Kodak has discontinued HC-110. Here in Spain it's not available anywhere and Ilford HC is expensive here too... I miss the times when shooting film was a nerd thing but everything was cheap and available...
Thank you for sharing, Matt! Recently, i've been using Ilford's Microphen to push HP5 to 1600 with great results. It's $10 and makes a liter of developer. It can be also reused for up to 10 rolls. Happy birthday!
Please put out that video of converting the room that is now your workspace!
Cool video. I love the snow pictures - last one looks like an abstract painting.
love the images, and how this series acts as sort of living retrospective. can't wait to see more from the series! happy birthday matt!
Just a shout out for continuing to use HC-110 and Ilfotec HC, gives us HC users more reference for dev times and results 😁
I also used D-76 and Microdol-X for developing Kodak films. D-76 gave good results for Tri-X and Plus-X and I shot a ton of that four decades ago.
Awesome vid. Nostalgic in many ways. Beautiful natural images.
I look forward to the video about remodeling your mom's old craft room :) !
These videos are always welcome!
Excellent work Matt! Lovely images as always.
I see some backing paper bleed/stain on the film indicative of rolls going through changing humidity. Adds a lot of grain to the medium format shots.
Totally enjoyed these beautiful images! And happy birthday Matt!!
Happy Birthday, Matt!
Happy Birthday Matt 🎂
Happy Birthday and Happy Holidays to you and the family
A before and after office tour would be nice. I would like to know the renovation thought process.
I stick with D76 while it's still around 😊
Keep life on film coming. :-) And happy birthday!
Happy Birthday man !
Showing room changing is nice one.
These are beautiful Matt thank you. Inspired me to take my camera out again :)
HC110 rocks. cool video.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE GOOD BROTHER 🎉🎉🎉
Happy 33rd birthday!
When you I heard you say ‘all those years ago’, a chill went down my spine. It’s so vividly clear that you’re drawn to nostalgia. I guess that’s why we’re all into photography after all, and needless to say film photography.
I love Hp5+! I used to push it to @800 and develop in Kodak Xtol, its two part developer and gave me a sharp fine grain negative. If you can, try it. You won´t regret it.
Love these. And WHAT A HEAD OF HAIR 😁 The shot at 6.06 looks like a still from a movie. Awesome. Love your English accent, straight out of Mary Poppins, guv ;)
would definitely like to see a video or videos about creating that office space
I would love to see a video of you and your new room
Happy Birthday Matt!.
Long haired Matt == corey wolfenbarger.
Yes would like to see what you did with the space to make it yours.
film photography forever, I need videos about nail design *troll*
the hair was cool bro
You gotta try DDX! So good for pushing film
7:20 I see some imprint from the backing paper on left side of image.
Hi there thanks so much for this. Do you push in development or reduce exposure compensation during shoot? Wld there be a difference?
Hey Matt, is that a TWSBI on your notebook?? Cheers and Grtzz from Belgium.
3:50 looks like Clint Eastwood in the 80s with unkempt hair and beard 🤣
This is telepathy, I am very running by the book and have yet to push HP5 past 800 and 1600 is a weekend plan.
For developer I moeed Adox XT3 which is an XTOL replacement, seemingly LegacyPro Eco Pro could very well be XTOL from the manufacturer that was used by Kodak. Without going into complications, this is the last ad overall best Kodak developer as I am mixing in T-grain films. Otherwise for HC110 there are a few replacements, made in US BTW. 5:00 that is the backing paper imprinting which has been also a challenge for Ilford film stored not in the best condition.
Is it just me or does long hair Matt look like the dude from Into The Wild 😂
Young Matt could have played a 70’s era Wolverine
3:56 you look like a young George Lucas imo! Lol
Big fat babies are the best babies! 🤣
Majestic hair don't care.
Peter McKinnon talked about in a recent video about he has never developed his own film. Feels like a natural colab between you two.
