Dubfire, 1/2 of deep dish played on vinyl for years. He can play on which ever format he pleases, same goes for carl cox and richie hawtin and anyone else that has been DJing Professionally for 20+ years.
I have 19 years old and I listen Dubfire since I have 14, more or less, and day by day I'm going mad with his sound as the first time.

I love how Ali is just slowly cramping Hawtin's style. The pitchy delay effects he calls his own, the arms up drugged out dance, the half sleeveless shirts....

I played with vinyl, but now i prefer use traktor with timecode, is much more creative.
After having tried everything else, I am so happy to use Traktor Scratch. It enables me to still play like a DJ should, but also be creative by using MIDI controllers, opening up all sorts of live elements to your set. This is amazing technology and the next step in performing. - Carl Cox

Amen! Seriously, do ppl not get how much he is working with. And how technical his sets, Hawtins, Liebings, Lucianos are? Annoys me to no end.
I can say that I was at Wavefront too, and Dubfire fucking killed it. It's all about the tracks and building momentum then delivering. If fireworks, dope beats and thousands of people going crazy don't do anything for you then you have no pulse. Maybe you're just pissed off you got bunk rolls or something?

It's a shame, I know, but analog DJ'ing is going to disappear. Most bigtime DJ's just use pre-recorded sets and just hit play (which I refúse to do, nothing is more fun than mixing realtime) and about 80% of the current top 50 DJ's mix using digital dj mixers ..
That's why I, after a 9,5 year break, decided to get digital turntables and mixers, instead of all analog stuff :)

digital is much more creative than analog, you can play with loops, cues, FX, and much more, with vinyl what you can do is very limited, that's why i prefer digital djing

It makes me sick seeing all these laptop Djs. The art of mixing is slowly fading away and if your trying to get in the game produces just pull a lucky dj out of a hat because anybody can create flawless sets when your using a laptop. Good luck on your mission i'm doing the same thing except i use cdj's!
