  • Hardest Difficulty - Give Me God of War GMGOW
This is a detailed walkthrough of what will likely be one of the greatest games of all time, God of War Ragnarok, on the Playstation 5.
A lot of the fat will be trimmed out of the gameplay, but I will be showcasing as much of the lore and story as I can.

I was unfortunately awfully sick and incredibly busy, but time to make up.
It's big dog time. Best chapter of this game by far.
I feel so bad for sif (and to some extent thor). Everyone is getting played by odin. Sif seems to be the only one who can actually see it.
Heimdall is insufferable, as he will continue to be.
Atreus is uncomfortable with the bear rug because he can transform into a bear.
Odin saying, "i liked you better as a drunk" to thor is just terrible.
Odin describing Ymir as more a force of nature like a landslide or a storm is more accurate than most depictions of Ymir in pop culture as a who. Usually, they just make him like a really big blue ice man.
Odin that he doesnt mention his brothers Vili and Vé who also killed Ymir.
A discrepancy from the tale mimir tells about how he lost his eye. In the myth, he sacrifices his eye to drink from the well of knowledge and in Gow 2018, mimir says the well was actually just filled with hallucinogenics and he tore out his eye. Someone is lying here.
It is true that odin kindof just stops existing when he dies. No afterlife for odin.
"Heimdall will be joining you" leaves immediately to retrieve 'plot device'. Really helpful there.
Heimdall is completely acting on his own according to a dev interview. And the raven teleport kindof just work?
No comments on the mask compass puzzle. Its all very shallow subtext and prompts for later.
Nice that you get to actually know the side characters like thrud though. Makes the story more believable
    Garm, garm, big dog garm
Lets talk the eater of realms shall we. Garm, or Garmr in text is a giant dog, explicitly a dog not a wolf. Garm is pretty mysterious as much of the myths tend to be. It fights Tyr during ragnarok and i think they kill eachother? Its pretty unclear. Sometimes Garm is merged with fenrir which would be confusing as fenrir and tyr were quite close by tyr and garm fight. Garmr can tear the realms apart and is supposed to eat part of helheim i think? It being freed is another sign of ragnarok. It not having a soul (as appears in the next episode) i think may be either a story choice or just a property of helheim creatures.
I wouldnt be surprised if odin planned out the mask and garm interaction.
Some fenrir forshadowing talking to the grave.
"It's gonna be fine. Everything's fine" cut to immediate battle.
    Tyr still suspiciously unhelpful
Kratos trying so hard to be a good father after his solo adventures.
Also handing Mimir to Freya instead of Tyr.
I will now catch up with the new episode.
