@@homeschoolteenswithjenny I’m always tempted to try out the faithopedia. I did pick up her New Testament and Old Testament studies, so I might be doing that next year.
@@CalmintheChaosHomeschool They are really different from each other, yet similar in some ways. It's hard to explain. I think my kids would say they have enjoyed the Faithipedia a little better than the God's Story studies. They are older and the study just didn't go as deep as they wanted.
We’ve been reading Instincts from Masterbooks. It’s a great book. We also have been doing Volume 1 Who is God Apologia. Also great. We are really enjoying them.
I was trying to explain what a morning basket is to a colleague today!!! She does gentle and classical morning virtues but not in the morning with her kids!!! We love to watch world watch news as a family!!! It’s been a win for us!!! We’ve read the answers books with my older kids!!! We love biographies but don’t do them often and I think it keeps it more alive!!! We did morning virtues self control and read a book on Eric Liddell but we love sport!!! We are looking for something for logic so we may try the turtle twins!!!
The morning basket can be a bit difficult to explain at time 😅 Biographies are a great way to learn about a persons life in a much more living book way. We love them. ❤️
I do think that as long as they are interested, there will be things to do. Maybe a little less time each year, but hopefully we can keep the morning time going for a long tme.
Loved listening! We are also currently reading Cold Case Christianity for Kids. My little girl was having so many questions and so I decided to read this one with her and she is loveing it. 🙏☺️
Thanks so much for sharing, Davene. I wish I could sit in on your morning basket time! 😊 Did you say that your link would allow for a 3 month trial of World Watch? I’m only seeing one week, but I did sign up, it looks like it’ll be a great addition for all of us.
@@CalmintheChaosHomeschool Thanks, I hadn’t even seen you’d given a code! But when I tried just now it told me the code either wasn’t valid or had already been used.
I really enjoyed this video!!! I struggle with morning time and you have some really great resources! How long do you dedicate to morning time each day?? Also, I want to add World Watch into our morning routine, I have heard nothing but great things!! I tried to use your code and it gave me an error message. Would love the 6 months free!!! Thank you again for all of these great ideas!
We spend about 10 mins for world watch, 15-20 for Bible, 20 for the morning basket loop, 20 for language and about 15-20 for read aloud. So quite a bit of time added up. S as for the world watch link, I’m going to reach out to them and see if I can get a new link. It was given to me a while ago, but I wasn’t aware there was an expiration date. I’ll message you here if I can get a new one!
What have been some of your favorite things in your morning time this past year?
My kids love the addition of World Watch News this year. We enjoyed the Not Consumed Old Testament Faithipedia, too!

Love hearing your thoughts. I have older kids as well and we still love morning time. Always on the lookout for thinks that work for this new stage.

I have not heard of that one! Sounds good. How old is your daughter? I love it when reading results in questions and discussion.
Just found you. Looking forward to your next family curriculum video!

Did you enter the code Calminthechaos? Maybe the code has expired 😬 I might have to check in and ask for a new code…

@Elizabeth-Reads thank you for letting me know. It must be expired 😢 I think they have special deals in the fall… often 1-3 months free.
@Elizabeth-Reads OK! So I got the code renewed. It's CALMINTHECHAOS for 3 months free. Hope it works for you now!
I have the Logical Fallacies to read through for this coming school year.
Can't wait to see what your school year holds next year!
