Its quicker to use Music Scanner to read the pdf, and then export the scan as XML wich Musescore can read.

I don't know Music Scanner. Is it a free application?

Sheet Music Scanner is free, but its only for Iphone and Ipad. On my Mac i use Play Score 2 Pro which is a payed app. Cost less than $1 per month.

The only problem with some of those scanner apps is that they don't do repeats or odd sections of music...

Very interesting! I do EXACTLY the same thing i.e. create MP3 files for my choir (TTBB) using MuseScore 4 but in quite a different way.
Luckily our arranger delivers a file in musicxml format so I don't have to worry about importing a midi or PDF file - all I need to check is if our arranger has done his job properly.
I also don't use the mixer to regulate the volume of the voices. I insert a dynamic in the first bar for all "instruments" e.g. p and then just adjust the voice I want loud to ff (our whatever sounds right).
I do have a few more tip and tricks to share so if you are interested give me a shout.
    Thanks for the vid!
    Steve

Hi Steve. That would work too! It's always good to get different techniques which may work better in different situations, so please feel free to let us all know.
I have found the musescore dynamics don't give as much control as I can get with the mixer. Plus, if the arrangement has dynamics built in, the mixer affects everything, where adding a dynamic to the beginning will only affect up to the next dynamic marking. For basic hymns that's not normally a problem, but for larger arrangements it could be.
