I agree - though I would like to see far more real world (Shrouded / wheeled / gated) proofs. I REALLY struggle when access and lighting is limited - shorter picks and no visual core twitching.... makes me feel like the first day again.

@@danpowell806 I'm not sure Mrs LPL would be ok with armor piercing rounds being fired in the garage, plus they'd probably ruin the piece he had the lock secured on.

It's nice to have this kind of videos as a reminder that pick resistance is not the only thing to consider for locking. Of course, the pick resistance is the weakest point of this lock even though the physical security rests on a single pin.
LPL: “Lets take this lock down to the garage.” Lock realizes it has fallen into the hands of the greatest enemy of all locks the world over. An icy chill runs through the locks core as it understands its death is only moments away.

Just had to drill 2 of these out at our shop on a customers van. Wasn’t bad at all. Drilled hole took a extractor for bolts and turned it and opened right up. About 15min a lock for something i haven’t done before.
The problem I have with this example is it is actually more difficult then your example when it's mounted onto something. Putting the hasp in the vise doesn't simulate anything except that the tool itself will fit the mounting hasp. When the unit is up against something a steel door with levers(shipping container) or vehicle it is much more of a inconvenience. Either way thank you for your efforts to keep us entertain.
Never knew our Lockpicking lawyer knows the Hard Way of breaking open a Lock.🤩🤩 I always think, there are only a few locks in the world who could survive your picking style 🤪🤪
"and once the core was out, I was able to insert about an ounce of Semtex into the cavity. Using my tactical laser to ignite the explosive, we see that the lock was no match for it."
Being a lawyer he knows of the dangers of officially recommending anything anywhere. So I think we'll never see him openly supportive of any lock ever without full disclosure (if it's paid or donated by a company) and an obligatory denial of liability. And he certainly will never make such blunder as "Top N good locks" recommendation video.
Love your videos, but have a small request for when you're doing something like this in the future: Can you narrate what is going on when you were messing around with the inside of the puck lock? I wasn't sure what you were doing, what the different tools being used were. etc. Thanks!
That's one hell of a setup you've got there! It seems like it would only be worth getting all that extra gear if your job was bypassing locks. Still I got to say I love your videos👍
The destructive attacks are the best. Still waiting for one on that huge squire padlock destruction test. That's going to be a challenge to get into and a great video
Lol I used to be a thief. Even when my hands were freezing in outside weather I could pick a master locks winthin a few minutes. The combo locks were even easier!
What I liked about this video was the puller was spaced a little away from the lock so we could see the core coming out a little. If you could enhance that space so it’s more visible for the next time that would be even better
00:53 so in order to prevent this type of attack, you weld another piece of steel, an outcropping of steel, like those round curved pieces around the puck lock to the left of the keyway. Either directly to the right of the mounting screw hole or to the left of it. You may be able to screw that initial screw into the core but you’ll never fit the core puller if there’s a protruding piece of steel 2 inches deep. What do you think? Thanks for the idea, I’m in the process of making my own custom-made Hasp for puck locks. But my puck locks are going to use one of those cone shaped versions that are more difficult to drill and I’m going to Rotasera cores.
If it took a pro like him that long to get past the puck lock, I think its safe to say the common street tweeker will take substantially longer, which in tern gives me time to load my 12 gauge after my motion sensor goes off. Ill be buying this lock thanks LPL
The video is 3 hours old and you have 2600+ views. Pretty impressive. You have over a Million addicted viewers. Most of whom probably never thought about picking a 🔒. That’s quite a fixture for holding the lock. Does this lock qualify as “essentially unpickable” due to the effort required?
So... what exactly did you do to remove the shackle? Did you snatch it my the pin hole and then pull it out? It’s kinda hard to imagine for me right now.
Pushing up on the lock and down on the outside end of the shackle as you extract it = considerably faster. A particular long needle nose might work as well. . A quick change on the drill for running a screw (bolt) and then a socket to turn the puller would also shave considerable time.
I think you know might know this, I use that ratchet at work and it can be used really fast if you don't need a lot of torque. Either stick a screwdriver in the second hole and spin it or with your finger as long as the second ratchet is set in the right direction.
When I saw the mock-up latch this lock was attached to, I immediately thought that a shield in front of the core would prevent almost any attack short of a grinder. Even a Masterlock core cannot be pulled or picked if the tools can't be inserted.
An honest, if albeit dumb question. If a lock is hardened against drilling the core, would this sort of attack also not work? If it would still work, why would the screw be able to get through when a drill bit can't?
Today I learned LockPickingLawyer will take way longer to destroy a lock than to pick it.
he just didn't pull the core far enough out of the lock before he brute forced it
Well he's not called LockDestroyingLawyer for a reason
He should have used the tool he made with Bosnian Bill.
Paul Elderson I don’t know, he does use destructive entry methods fairly often
In all fairness it did put up a bit of a fight. Was slower than when he picks locks.
Thats the most resistance a master lock as ever put up.
Their mechanical design is definitely better than the design of their cores.
DrLex1 except the LOTO padlocks. Swap that into some of their sturdier locks and you’re onto something.
Nothing to see here officer; just doing a little ... ahem ... maintenance on this lock!

I don't think this will work on a laminated lock as you'd be pressing on the bottom plate and trying to pull it at the same time.
„We are going to head down to the garage“
Lock: *internal screaming*
The core puller: i 'm gonna like this
I certainly wan't expecting to see surgery on this channel!
