I feel like Skar being shorter than Kong works well with his character. His strength comes from his cunning and manipulation rather than brute force. Throughout the marketing, Skar has been built up to be more of a personal/emotional threat than a physical one. He's the mastermind while Shimo is the muscle. It makes him a more unique threat compared to past villains.

@@ShogunAT3I thought size and growth was fueled by high radiation levels in the Hollow Earth...hopefully there's an explanation for Kong's size in comparison to the other great apes. Perhaps he is from a royal line

In one of the latest TV spot Kong just picked and tossed Skar King towards Godzilla with one single arm while Godzilla just wacked Skar King with his tail and scored a home run. His tail looks bad ass.

Having a evil Titan nearly as heart as a human is more scary when compared to MUTOS, Ghidorah, and MechaGodzilla. They may have raw physical prowess, but having Shimo on his side, those three would've find ruling over the planet almost impossible.
This movie is going to be insane! All of the fight scenes from Godzilla fighting Scylla + Tiamat to Kong fighting Skar King + Shimo to Godzilla fighting Kong and then them teaming up to fight both Skar King and Shimo. Jeez imagine how many times I’d tally mark an action scene 🤯

We can only hope Shimo becomes allies with Godzilla and Kong, with the next movie they all fight against a threat like Destroyah or an original idea that matches it's power.
I think people are putting too much in equating size with strength just because Scar King is smaller than Godzilla and Kong doesn’t mean he’s not a dangerous foe, Frieza from Dragon Ball is barely over 5ft and he’s at the moment the strongest mortal so yeah don’t think he’s weak cause he’s small (by titan’s standards)

I dont know if someone already thought of this, but what if just like the Axe Kong has is a gojira dorsal plate, What if the crystal on the end of Skarking's whipslash is a tiny fragment of shimos Crystal? It's like in brightburn, The only way to kill or hurt the enemy is with a metaphorical and/or literal piece of themselves?
THAT WAS MY THEORY! I thought it might be of spiritual(ie its first crystal)/physical significance that scar took while its army distracted her and now he bends her to his will with it

I love that we are back at world ending threats this time around. Godzilla vs kong was an awesome scrap of a movie but the stakes were low. Its great to have a threat that you will feel the impending doom!!!!!!
Mechagodzilla was a threat stupid possessed by the Spirit of King Ghidorah who wanted to kill all of humanity.
We are so hyped for this film!!!!!

This movie is going to be insane
With movie directors of Godzilla both from Minus one and Legendary being best buds, these guys can turn both franchises into a iconic franchise. I would love to see Gamera getting involved too, not many of his foes can carry well into the monster verse other than Gaos and Legion, both being outstanding evil creatures for the new Hollow Earth. Latest Gamera version especially the one versus Legion is by far the most intimidating Gamera of them all. And the story line can fit into monster verse too, we know hollow earth have humans that worship the Titans, well an advance society from Hallow earth created Gaos to deter Titans that have gone tryanical, but the Gaos done such a wonderful job over time diminishing Titans becoming tyrants, that they started to see the humans as the new threat of tyranny and started attacking them, this forced Gamera's creation from that surviving tribe. Gamera and Godzillla dont get along, but only fight to achieve sub-mission, this can flip flop throughout the series, in addition this can open a solo movie for Gamera as an introduction into the monster-verse. Japan and the United States need to co-operate in making these iconic movies, both fans and Japan, like both versions of Godzilla, its good to enjoy options both these cultures are producing.As well as tag team match ups with G-man, Kong and even Mothra. Gamera would seal the deal for monster verse.

We are talking about the monsterverse here, nothing is philosophical here only literal. A colossal threat? Yup, that's shimo.. and I absolutely love it!
So scar kings plan is to use Shimo to generate a Fimbulwinter situation. That actually fits quite well since the titans are considered as gods. And Fimbulwinter led to the end of the norse gods.
Skar king is an agile fighter who seems to rely on counters and slick movements to initiate attacks

That's a really interesting theory
Every monster antagonist we've had in this franchise so far, even Ghidora, could be explained away by saying they were acting on animal instinct. A need to feed, to mate or to try and become an alpha. Skar, being a great ape, and thus more intelligent, is probably the first MonsterVerse baddie who would arguably be called genuinely evil 🤔
Ghidorah is a planet conquerer. One that lives for killing. When you look at it that way, Skar King and King Ghidorah are not as different. One difference is that while Skar King needs Shimo to terraform the Earth, Ghidorah is a full package, a living extinction event with both brains and brawn to back it up.

What if... Skar witnessed the destruction that Ghidora unleashed the first time, then the second time because of his release by humans and he thinks he's the only one to save the world from foreign and domestic threats??? That would be a great plot.

Besides the weapon and his own strengths, I was expecting Skar King to have some extra power like psychic powers.
I’m SO damn curious about the level/nature of Shimo’s intelligence… Are her mental capabilities more on the primal side, especially given how ancient she is, or is she more well-developed intellectually/emotionally like the Kong species? I feel like that’s going to play a huge part in Shimo’s behavior and how/why she came to be Skar’s “attack dog,” and I can’t wait to see this movie and find out!
Shimo is probably the reason how SpaceGodzilla could appear in the Monsterverse that SpaceGodzilla was the 1st of the Godzilla Species.
I think Skar King is driven by his hatred for humanity.
I hope they show Shimo freezing Ghidorah from the past. I mean in king of the monsters; he was frozen and knowing Shimo’s frost breath it’s a given?! It would show how powerful she is and why Godzilla fears her too.

@@Timbo6669 the director of king of the monsters mentioned it, besides if they do reveal shimo did it then that not only takes away a victory from godzilla but also cheapens his rivalry with ghidorah. it's like having superman fight doomsday or batman fight the joker but then killer frost butts in and steals their thunder
@@FredBstar3K it really doesn’t. Ghidorah beat a Godzilla and vice versa. In the movie we see this and they are evenly matched until the end. You think a smaller Godzilla took down Ghidorah? Remember, he used to be smaller?
Now what if skar uses his ape army to attack the world in several spots, could we see Godzilla The King of The Monsters send a call to arms to the other titans to defend the planet???

This was honestly a good take. Millions of years ago, Skar had lack of facillity to travel to the surface world where ne needs to find location/wormhole that can travel. Since humans especially Monarch has advance tech and portals open under their control. This is Skar chance to used it and rule the surface world and wage war.
Shimo isn't evil. Being the first titan she's just become a grumpy "You kids get off my lawn!" type of elder.
I can see Skar being killed by Kong and Shimo will have no choice to bow to Godzilla leaving the opening for a new and improved Ghidorah to return after all legend has it that there is still a Ghidorah head around.

So the bone whip has been catching my eye since we have seen clear images of it and I've been wondering if it's made from the skull/spine/tail of Shimos mate. If Scar was able to kill one of them then Shimo might kneel to Scar for that. I keep trying to see if Shimo has a main tail crystal but haven't seen a clear image to tell.

Seeing how Skar King gets his ass handed to him relatively easily, I am increasingly under the impression that Shimo is secretly an antihero/good titan is a 'false leak'. The way they are building her up, she is probably the main villain of the movie, not Skar King.
My Theory is that in the Post-Credit Scene the Crystal that Skar King used to control Shimo even though it gets destroyed that maybe it or another Crystal somewhere in Hollow Earth sends a Signal and we see Millions away from Earth on a Crystal Planet SpaceGodzilla waking up.

My thoery is the crystal on Scar kings whip isn't a mind control thing but something important to Shimo if Shimo disables he would destroy the crystal or if it going to be like primal their might be a younger member of Shimos species if Shimo doesn't do what Scar King wants to he would kill the younger member of Shimos race

Skar just doesn’t like the idea of Godzilla being the “King of Monsters” by doing this Godzilla disrupted the balance and skar king wants to correct this and assume his original role as a super power amongst titans
