It was my mistake failing to provide lyrics before your reaction... oooof! 🫤 My bad!
This song, to the best of my understanding, is about a Norse warrior who spies the very first arriving ship from the Christianized lands of the south.
It signals the beginning of the end to the era of the old gods.
Some lines (translated) strike me strongly:
"Hearken to the ravens' cry
across all heavens.
Behold as the gods
of our world fall."
"Hear the sorrow of the woods
across all known times.
Sacred stones are overturned
and the folk so weary."
..."How dare they bereave us our gods,
now thousands fall silent at murder."
Kivenkantaja is my favorite Moonsorrow album and may just may be my favorite album of all time. While I regret forgetting to send you the lyrics, this album earned that place for me whilst I still had no clue what the words meant. Hopefully it will ring as strongly for you. To anyone wondering, this is the first of all six. 😎🤘

They did go full circle on this album, it is their best album. For this album some abalouge synths are included I think proberly a moog.

The problem with this that it goes a bit too cheesy Bal-Sagothesque cheap sounding keyboard lines a little too much. But this song is great. I like the newer more "grounded" stuff a lot more.
