FOR EVERYONE WHO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE LEFT ENGINE: I had the problem that my left engine dies immediately after I turned off the APU. I was watching this video like three times, searching my issue. The RESOLUTION is, that this is simply a BUG! At this point, an error occures every time you leave your parking position with an already turned off APU or if you turn off the APU out of your parking position. Your left engine will die immediately! WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS: just to leave the APU on the whole time. At this time, this is the only way to use both of your engines. If the left engine dies ones, YOU WONT BE ABLE TO TUN IT ON AGAIN, no matter what you try! I hope this get fixed soon. If you want to see the video that was helping me out, just search for „msfs left engine turns off“ here on RUclips. I hope I was able to help. Stay safe
@Drawyah actually there are two hold short lines: Hold Short and ILS Hold Short. Essentially, they are to prevent large aircraft from blocking the ILS signal for incoming aircraft. The A320 should probably always use the ILS Hold Short line, which is the one further from the runway. FYI. Otherwise, great startup procedure video, though!

Also if you are already airborne and turn off the APU in the air, it will die also! I hope this helps!

it's been a year since i checked out this video on how to start the A320N, and I've gone through video and watched how to start up the A320N then i went to MSFS2020 on my Xbox then got into the A320N then screenshotted the overhead panel, then edited it, and written down all of the buttons i need to press and highlighted them so i don't forget in the future what buttons i need to press, Now it only takes me less than 30 seconds to start the A320N up
@haHAA Hahaha, Yeah, not as planned tho. I overshot EGLL because I have no clue how quick planes were (was on AP1, went for a coffee). Overshot a little. Reasons were I guess that I didnt select a DEST RUNWAY in my MCDU. Currently flying MIKOV > MIKO7W > LOWW/34 on ILS. So going to see if today I can approach on ILS with automatic pilot. (yday on EGLL I made a right hand pattern and landed it a bit agressive, but it worked out.
Can we put every control functions from overhead panel on the display that not just monitor the systsm, but also accesa the control systems in touchscreen displays ? Not just overhead control panels that control every system fuctions on airplane itself, but also navigation systems, radio systems, flight management systems, transponder systems, engine starter and fuel ignition systems, circuit breaker controls, electronic flight bags on touchscreen displays just like Gulfstream Symmetry Flight Deck ?
I have been creating my flight plan through FS2020 at the “world” screen. I take off and follow the plan and all ATC commands. When I get to the destination airport, I am always too high and out of position. Very frustrating.
Hi, I love the tutorial. However I noticed I need to wait with a request for the pushback tug (e.g. stop pushback or turn to the left) to a few seconds later when it finally gets completed. Can I adjust the time of response?
Great tutorial. I found one small omition - turning on ADIR to NAV to turn an the Displays - which also take a while to boot up. One question - how do you steer pushback with the keyboard?? The only way I have found yet is through Ground Services. Shift+P only pushes back straight. Thanks for any hints.
5:00 I’m doing this part and it’s not working for me? First of all I don’t get the option to choose multiple for the “To” step and the FMS does something entirely different when I type in my value for the “Via” step. Then when I continue it says “2nd index not found”…
If the 2nd index is not found, skip it. That means your flightplan is out of date (you can update simBrief with a Navigraph subscription) as is the airway. Your best bet would be to skip the missing waypoint.
Hi, I am a real beginner of FS 2020, so I have no idea how you brought up the overhead panel to start up the APU. In your videp it just appears open and ready to start. Grea! but, show me what steps do you take to bring up that panel. Ist it Ctrl+ ... dsomething??? Please help. I'm sure you had to learn the same thing the first time you opened your FS 2020. Right?. Thanks.
Drawyah you simply are the best ! I’ve mastered this now thanks to you & I’m checking more of your videos out & I’m so frickin happy I subbed buddy, very educated person I can tell on that ✈️🌍
Simbrief now has an app that directly feeds flight plans into the sim. It is awesome. As I am not a competent flyer yet I let the AI fly the plane along the flight plan from Schipol to Heathrow. It went perfectly from take-off to landing. I did not have to press a single button on the dashboard. I would presume that in the real world flight plans are not manually keyed in on the plane (although they can be) but are beamed into the plane from the Airlines operations team - like Simbrief does effectively.
Great video! I do have an issue I need help figuring out. Starting from dark and cold, once the external power comes on, my PFDs go through the test screen, then they have no data. Like the PFD doesn't show the attitude, speed, altitude, vert speed, etc. It shows red outlines of where they are, but no numbers, etc. Same goes for the nav display. Setting to Plan it works (after plugging in the routes), but going back to ARC, the display is in red and shows HDG MAP NOT AVAIL. What am I missing here? In your video all that is already on after the ext power is pushed.
Ok figured out the issue. If anyone else runs into this, you now have to set the three ADIRS on the overhead panel. That initializes and get the PFDs working fully.
Thanks a lot for the video. I have never used the FMS, FS2020 flight plan sets up the waypoints etc. and we can set the cruise altitude, but not the intermediate altitude. After the recent patch update, my NEO loses the XPDR code and ATC gives me a code to SQAWK, previously acknowledging, would set the code, but now it doesn't. ATC calls couple of times with the code and "Cancels IFR" when I don't set it. I have searched through for setting this, but couldn't find it. Appreciate any help and tips.
I don't have the correct sids where i can choose from when i select my runway for departure? The one described in the simbrief doesn't show up in the available ones on the a320 screen.
Look for similar. As AIRAC cycles update, they may change the routing slightly, but the majority of the same should stand. In this case the SID is formatted BKY7F, the BKY will always be there, but 7F can change.
When I plugged in the first Airway in the 'to' section, I plugged in 'BPK' but then it showed 2 routes, I selected the 'BPK VOR' Route then it went back to the same page and nothing happened, it didn't even show 'BPK' plugged in, it did the same when I tried to plug in the VIA section.
i have an issue when im taxing and it is that the plane just steers to the right all the time even if im not touching the ps4 controller i use. I use the r1 and r2 buttons for rudder so idk if that has anything to do with it. Can someone help me pls
Thnks for the explanation, you did good work, only while watching I discover a small mistake at your side, and that is thatyou filled in the mcdu rwy 27R, and you depart from 27L. Keep up the good work again thnk you .
I followed each steps as shown in the video. But instead of manually setting the flight plan in FMC, I used flight planning from the the world map in the game and everything was setup already in the FMC. When I took off, I started the AP and selected the heading, speed and altitude to auto (by clicking on the button upwards) but not sure why the plane wasn't following the route. Any ideas ?
i don't know if procedures changed - but i think originally i forgot to set flaps back to 0 and 2 hours into flight the entire avionics switched off and the plane started a death dive. i followed all your instructions (apart from flight planning) and managed to eventually do a cold start and eventually ILS landing. Thankyou so much for this - next time i am going to attempt to put the Flight Plan in by hand.
hi i’m new to msfs so im still learning. But i have a slight issue. When i try hold the knob to set my speed or altitude to something higher, it just shows me “ Adjust selected altitude, under it it says Engage select altitude mode and under Engaged managed altitude mode and for speed it’s the same. it’s just 3 options on the knob not just a black one like yours.Could u try help me pls

No. The A320 has a standardised overhead panel and controls unit. Gulfstream are a separate company entirely.
Thank you! It really did help. But on my route, from Wellington to Auckland, it had issues puting the waypoints. I guess I’ll take another route
The delay to turn you cannot stop, you can start and finish Pushback by using [Shift] + [P].
@@Drawyah thanks a lot! currently I'm flying an a320 thanks to your tutorials
Glad to hear it helped!
I used the ATC menu to turn.
Thanks for the video.
Could you please tell me why you didn't type in the airway N851at 7:00?
If the aircraft finds a suitable airway that I have not input, it will automatically insert it to the route in MSFS.
Right?. Thanks.
Awesome tutorial video! Keep more of these tutorials video's coming :)
Did you resolve this??? I’m still struggling
@@joeollie9560 I used the A32NX, which is way better, it plugs in most waypoints, Download the A32NX mod,
i have an issue when im taxing and it is that the plane just steers to the right all the time even if im not touching the ps4 controller i use. I use the r1 and r2 buttons for rudder so idk if that has anything to do with it. Can someone help me pls
Please I need help during takeoff, airplane starts moving right and left and i am trying to adjust with radder, any help?
when I push back the front wheel/landing gear goes to one side and when the throttle on there no control with the rudder pedals
Loving all your videos bro...
Keep it going, you'll get very famous very soon. I can feel it 🙏🏻
Subbed👍🏻
excellent tutorial video! Thanks! Looking forward to other tutorials.
Any ideas ?
Check that your aircraft was intercepting the route, otherwise fly a 'DIRECT' to the next waypoint.
Rwy 27R inserted for take off and 27L for performance calculation!! Always have to be cross checked before inserting the speeds.
How do I get into this "Mode"? Even with all help turned off I'm always put in a plane with all engines running etc and all checklists already done :(
any chance you can do a video on taxiing, following the correct paths and where to get airport maps?
Setting up fmc was detailed and nice. Can you do more in depth on takeoff mid and landing procedures? Awesome vod
I've done landing, I don't think we need tutorials on cruise, there is just little to talk about.
ruclips.net/video/cRP4MLEeQAo/видео.html
i don't know if procedures changed - but i think originally i forgot to set flaps back to 0 and 2 hours into flight the entire avionics switched off and the plane started a death dive.
i followed all your instructions (apart from flight planning) and managed to eventually do a cold start and eventually ILS landing.
Thankyou so much for this - next time i am going to attempt to put the Flight Plan in by hand.
Glad to hear it Shaun, I wish you many happy virtual hours! 🙌
hi i’m new to msfs so im still learning.
I really watched a 20 minute video cuz i forgot where one button was😭💀 good video anyways mate!
That's the way to do it! 🤣
@@Drawyah Lmao u deserve a sub i was teaching my 4 year old cousin how to start a a320 neo then i forgot where one button was 😂
After I turn on BAT1, 2, why there is no master warning sign? Also the strobe light can't be set to auto.
